And the best Beachbody workout for weight loss in 2024 is…
It’s been a minute since I’ve done an in-depth look at BODi (formerly known as Beachbody) workouts and I’m excited to share my thoughts on the best BODi weight loss program in 2024.
First of all, do I still do them? 100% yes.
My husband purchased a couples gym membership two years ago and I used it once. I just love the comfort and ease that comes with working out at home. Taking my butt to the gym just isn’t going to work for this couch potato.
Curious how BODi differs from Beachbody?
In case you haven’t heard, the brand has changed (for the better, in my opinion). The biggest change was the introduction of “BODi Blocks”, simple, sustainable and effective workouts that help you achieve your fitness goals without having to commit to a long program (AMEN TO THE). I don’t know about you, but as someone with ADHD, my attention span doesn’t last for 12 weeks. I need to mix things up so this was a product improvement from God.
All BODi blocks consist of five training sessions per week for three weeks, followed by an optional recovery and reset week where the intensity is reduced. BODi blocks are designed to be “periodized,” meaning training sessions get progressively harder each week, with an extra week of rest at the end. This ensures that you are always challenged but not overtrained.
So what are the best BODi workouts for weight loss in 2024?
Now let’s get to the new releases and answer the burning question of which one is best for losing weight in 2024.
Well, the short answer is that weight loss (or technically fat loss) is achieved through dietary changes rather than exercise. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If your goal is fat loss, start with 2B Mindset, a truly doable nutrition program.
However, if you want to accelerate fat loss and change the way your body looks and feels, then I recommend combining 2B Mindset with one of the following workouts.
Let’s get into it.
3 day split from Autumn Calabrese
“3 Day Split” by Autumn Calabrese will probably be at the top of my list for body transformation achievements. Why? Because their routines are generally strength-focused with an emphasis on higher reps and sets. So it is not optimized for building muscle, but rather for fat burning and muscle endurance. (So general fitness/skinny rather than muscle building).
The 3-day split is a new approach for BODi as their programs typically occur 5 to 7 days per week. The routine consists of 30-50 minute workouts just three days a week for four weeks. There are 12 workouts in total, and as I mentioned before, the focus is on building strength, muscle mass, and cardio with the goal of overall weight loss and muscle definition (without bulk).
What you need for this program is a set of dumbbells – light, medium and heavy. So if you’re new to training, start with a set of 8 pounds, 12 pounds, and 20 pounds.
With a membership to BODi you can access 3 Day Split. I recommend getting it with the nutrition program too.
Dig Deeper by Shaun T
Let’s start with the example training…
ShaunT rarely disappoints and this new training is no different. Dig Deeper is a weightlifting program with a mindset approach that only ShaunT can provide. It’s an all-ability program, meaning it’s designed to be intense. However, if you are new to lifting weights, you have the option to reduce the intensity.
While I think this program is great for weight loss, I have more of a “lift heavy” mentality, so it’s perfect for anyone who LOVES LIFTING HEAVY. If this doesn’t apply to you, skip this workout. What does that mean?
There are 23 workouts in Dig Deeper that last between 25 and 50 minutes per day. You will need a set of dumbbells and an adjustable bench.
You can access Dig Deeper with the BODi membership or simply purchase it individually. (I always recommend the full membership as it gives you access to ALL workouts.
Chop wood, carry water
Let’s start with the example training “Chopping wood, carrying water…”
This may sound like a strange name for a program, but it is inspired by a famous saying in Zen Buddhism. “Chop wood, carry water before enlightenment. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.” Regardless of where you are on your fitness journey, action is required to create and sustain change.
Amoila’s Chop Wood, Carry Water program combines heavy lifting with primal movements to optimize mobility and strength. So you do a mix of standard weight lifting exercises and “primal moves” that are like yoga on steroids.
I actually really like this program and I also believe that you can achieve amazing weight loss results with it. I love that too. You have the option to choose from 3 different training programs designed for 4, 5 or 6 days per week depending on time availability.
There are 20 training sessions in total, each lasting 25 to 40 minutes per day. You will need a set of dumbbells and a foam roller.
Of all the programs I mentioned above, I think they are all great contenders for achieving weight loss goals. If you are new to training, I would start with the 3 day split and then move on to the other options. You can purchase access to it (along with 2B Mindset) here.
BODi Block and Super Block 2024 release schedule
Now to my favorite part – the 2024 Blocks and Super Blocks from BODi.
These are the shorter workouts (4 weeks total) and I love them because they offer a lot more variety. The other main difference between BODi Blocks and regular programs is that regular programs are aimed at a specific fitness goal (e.g. building muscle or losing fat). BODi blocks are designed to be more holistic and focus more on the periodization method mentioned above
Here is a breakdown of the 2024 BODi Block Workouts that will be available in 2024:

A few things you should know about BODi Blocks and Super Blocks
The MIND+BODY blocks are a mix of workouts that improve fitness but also your connection to your body. You’ll find workouts like Barre Blend, Pilates, and yoga, among others. But don’t assume they’re necessarily easy. They are challenging and happen to be some of my favorites.
Super Blocks are just like regular blocks when it comes to training, but come with an additional cost. Not a huge cost, but in addition to your annual membership. However, if you don’t want to pay extra, you can just wait until they are all released to general membership at the end of the year.
