It is time to “beef” “beef” beef “!
When I was a child when I was told that I would write a book about nutrition and nutrition, if I was older, let alone made a health -related radio broadcast for over 36 years, I would have thought who told me that they did not come to mind. In Newark, New Jersey, my parents and I, consumed everything and everyone that had a face or a mother, except for dead, rotting, pork pork, although we ate bacon (as if all other dismantling were miraculously clean in a miracle way). It was no different to walk through the high school and college. In fact, my change in nutrition only came in my thirties.
Just to put things in the right light, after I had completed the Wequahic High School and before I went to Seton Hall University, I had a part -time job for a butcher. I was the delivery officer and occasionally had to go to the slaughterhouse to pick up products for the shop. Unnecessary to mention that I had no consciousness or awareness, since changes never came despite the horrors that I saw almost every day.
After completing a conclusion from Seton Hall, I finally married and moved to a city called Livingston. Livingston was basically a Yuppie community, in which everyone was judged by the neighborhood in which they lived and their income. To say that it was a “plastic” community would be an understatement.
Livingston and flatness finally came to me. I told my wife that I was fed up and wanted to change. She made it clear that she had to be near her friends and New York City. I finally got together and shared myself for Colorado.
At the end of 1974 I lived with a woman in Aspen when she said one day: “Let’s become a vegetarian”. I have no idea what I have to say it, but I said: “Okay”! At that time I went to the freezer and got frozen, dead body parts worth around $ 100 and gave it to a social mother who lived behind us. Well, everything was great for about a week, and then the chick separated from another man.
So for a few weeks I was a vegetarian not to really know what to do, how to cook or basically, to prepare something. For about a month I came out with carrot sticks, celery skirts and yogurt. Fortunately, when I became vegan in 1990, it was a simple and natural progress. However, when I went through Aspen Town, I noticed a small vegetarian restaurant called “The Little Kitchen”.
Just let me appear a little again. It was April 1975, the snow melted and the outflow of the Ajax Mountain filled the streets full of knee depth. Now Aspen was great to drive, but was a crap to go in when the snow melts.
I was ready to end it and needed a warmer space. I will explain this in more detail in a minute.
But at the moment back to “the small kitchen”. Since I knew that I would leave Aspen and basically a new vegetarian, I needed help. So I drove into the restaurant and told them my need and asked them if they would teach me how to cook. In return, I told them I would wash dishes and empty their trash. Then they asked me what I did professionally and I told them I was an accountant.
The owner said to me: “Let’s make a deal. You make our tax return and we also feed them.” In the next few weeks I made your tax return, washed her dishes, emptied the trash and learned as much as possible.
But as I said, the mud came to me. So I picked up a travel book that was written by a man named Foder. The name of the book was “Hawaii”. When I looked through the book, I noticed that in Lahaina on Maui there was a small vegetarian restaurant called “Mr. Natural’s”. I decided exactly then and there that I would go to Lahaina and work on “Mr. Natural’s”. To make a long story short, that’s exactly what happened.
So I work on “Mr. Natural’s” and learn everything I can do about my new lifestyle for nutrition – it was great. Every afternoon we close to lunch around 1 p.m. and went to the Sheraton Hotel in Ka’anapali and played volleyball while someone stayed back to prepare dinner.
Since I was the new type and didn’t really know how to cook, I never thought that I would be asked to stay behind to cook the dinner. An afternoon happened exactly; It was my turn. That set up a problem for me because I was at the point where I finally knew how to cook water.
I was desperate, unsuspecting and basically up the stream without paddle. Fortunately, a friend of mine sat in the pavilion in the restaurant and I asked him if he knew how to cook. He said the only thing he knew how to cook was Enchiladas. He said his enchiladas were less and milk -free. I told him that I had no idea what an Enchilada was or what he spoke of, but I needed him to show myself because it was my turn to do dinner.
Well, the boys came back from volleyball and I am asked what was dinner. I told you Enchiladas; The owner was not enthusiastic. I told him that mine was without beans and milk -free. When he tried the Enchilada, he said it was incredible. When the modest guy I was, I smiled and said, “You expected a little less”? It was apparently so good that it was the only article on the menu that we served twice a week. In fact, after about a week every evening we sold five dozen when we had them on the menu, and people went around Lahaina Rundfunk, “Enchilada’s at” Natural’s Tonight “. I never had to cook anything else.
A year later the restaurant closed and somehow I pulled myself to a small grocery store in Wailuku. I never said anyone that I am an accountant and basically leaves me to be the truck driver. The boys who headed the health business had friends in similar shops and farms on many islands. I told you that if you could organize and form a company, you could probably lock the state. Then they found that I was an accountant and was born “soil”. “Down to Earth” became the largest chain of the natural food business on the islands, and I was her chief Financial Officer and co-manager of her biggest shop in 13 years.
In 1981 I made a weekly radio show to expose people to a vegetarian diet and prevent them from killing innocent creatures. I’m still doing this show today. I pay for my own broadcast time and have no sponsors so as not to compromise my honesty. A bit of trouble was the fact that I was forced to do a master’s degree in nutrition to close all MDS that called for my registration information.
My radio broadcast made it possible for me to see corruption in the large food industries, the large pharmaceutical companies, the biotech industries and the government agencies through endless research. This information that is so independent enabled me to recognize how broken our health system is. This is dealt with in more detail in the introduction and in the entire book. If you end the book, you will see this clearly and hopefully you will inspire you to make changes.
I was down to earth in 1989, was nationally certified as a sports injury massage therapist and started with a number of boys who made a martial arts film to travel the world. After about four years I finally made it back to Honolulu and got a job as a massage therapist in the Honolulu Club, one of the leading fitness clubs in Hawaii. There I met the love of my life with which I have been together since 1998. She made me an offer that I couldn’t reject. She said, “If you want to be with me, you have to stop working on bare women.” So I returned to accounting and was Chief Financial Officer from a large construction company for many years.
When I returned to my Newark days when I was a child, I had no idea what a “chicken” or “egg” or “fish” or “pig” or “cow”. My parents were encountered by my parents because their parents were encountered to them. Through the grace of God, I was able to bring things into their right perspective and improve my health and increase my awareness.
The road that I walked along in 1975 finally made me write my book “A reasonable diet for a crazy world”. Hopefully the information contained here will be revealing, motivating and inspiring to encourage you to make different decisions. What we do from conditioning is not always the best course we can follow. I hope that through the grace of the many friends and personalities I have met on my way, you will have a better perspective on which street you are not only for your health, but also your awareness.
Last but not least: After I was vaccinated as a child, I developed asthma what was plagued by me all my life. In 2007 I was exposed to the organic sulfur crystals, which my asthma removed in 3 days and have not returned for over 10 years.
