Hello, and happy Friday!

Reunited and it feels so good! This week, we made our way to the University of Oregon to pick up our baby girl who is home for the summer, and it is SOOO good to have her back. It will be a short stint before we’re moving her again to a new school, but I’ll take however many minutes I can with her! On the way, we stopped to see some blogging friends who have opened their homes to us many times over the years. The blogging community is so generous. Naturally, there was dinner, and it was delicious! Barbecued salmon, grilled shrimp, caprese orzo pasta salad (in Sandy’s big bowl, of course), Lori’s triple berry salad, and Erin’s ricotta strawberry cake to top it all off. Being treated so well made us never want to leave, but baby girl beckoned, and so hit the road and were on our way :).

Put this in the “People are Amazing” category: A blind man built a fully adaptive skatepark for visually impaired and disabled skaters. How did he do that??!!!

My mom is a beautiful seamstress, but I don’t know if she knows about these cool sewing tricks! I’ll for sure be referring back to this one!

Happy almost Father’s Day! Dad’s rules for life.

Did you hear about the toddler who found a medieval pendant worth millions while digging in a field? Get out the shovels and set yours to work!

I love comedy so naturally I love Saturday Night Live. This video of behind-the-scenes auditions of some of the greats proves everyone has to start somewhere!

How to harvest lettuce and then keep it fresh in the fridge for days.

If you’re a dinner party host, you HAVE to take a look at this illustrated table runner for your next get-together. Set out a few markers and your guests will get to work! So cute.

These double-pronged bamboo skewers are awesome to use when grilling shrimp so they don’t curl or flippy veggies.

No better way to start the weekend than with a refreshing cocktail in hand!

Another great salmon recipe to put on the books.

Gnocchi + burrata = meal in heaven.

We pruned the crap out of our apple tree this year so I’m hoping it will prove to supply us with buckets of apples to make this!

So classic, so comforting: Frito pie casserole!

Surely you’ve had crispy smashed potatoes, but have you tried crispy smashed broccoli yet? Get ‘er done!

Yes, it’s summer and the slow cooker is still your friend (no heating up the kitchen!!) which makes this crockpot chicken dinner recipe every cook’s favorite little helper.

I’m going to put my new Creami to work and try making this matcha ice cream.

And, my husband is a pistachio ice cream freak, so I know he’d love this no-churn version.

More summer means more fish, and this Mexican-enhanced recipe looks delicioso!

Or perhaps you should give this Mexican chicken and potatoes skillet a try.

High-protein frozen chocolate treats — forget chicken breasts, this is how I want to get my protein in!

Fast and easy to customize with added veg or protein, these spicy chili noodles make dinner a spicy snap.

I love an easy French bread pizza for when you don’t have pizza dough ready, but this focaccia pizza looks pillowy good, too.

More crispy salmon nuggets this summer!

OMG, get on this ice cream pie stat!

These water bottle ice trays are silicone and leak-proof and perfect for keeping your cool.

My husband can’t stop raving about the smell of this soap.

He also smelled a sample of this perfume and then proceeded to made his own samples to put in his truck. I told him I wore it for about a year, and he never commented on it when I did. I guess I didn’t smell as good as his truck .:)

Super cute tank and it’s 30% off!

Gazelles are on sale and up to 50% off! Get your back to school shopping done now!

Everyone’s been talking about how great suitcase compression cubes are, and since these are on sale for half off, I guess I should jump on the train.

The 2-second rule for sleeping on a plane for those that never can.

I can’t tell you how many times my husband has had to dump his water out after getting flagged by TSA. This tip is for him: Packing tips for bringing water on to a plane.

Sunset’s home and interior design awards are loaded with serious inspiration!

Could this easy tapping routine actually rewire your brain? May as well give it a try!

That’s it for this week! Have a fantastic weekend and cook something good!
