The Astrology Of 2026 – Saturn Conjunct Neptune In Aries

9

2026 is one of those big, milestone years that make history and stay with us for a long time.

2026 continues a story that began taking shape in 2025, especially in the first part of the year, when Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus first entered new signs.

If 2025 was the ‘test run’, 2026 is the ‘real deal’ – because these ingresses are now triggered by exact aspects that set things into motion.

What makes some years – like 2026 – more ‘special’ astrology-wise than others?

It always comes down to the outer planets forming significant alignments. Let’s take 1969, 1989, and 2020 as examples of other milestone years:

  • In 1969, we had a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Libra, part of a stellium with Pluto and the South Node, marking a time of cultural and technological revolution
  • In 1989, the Saturn-Uranus-Neptune alignment in Capricorn heralded the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War
  • In 2020, the Saturn-Pluto conjunction (part of a Capricorn stellium) followed by the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction at 0° Aquarius triggered a seismic shift in global structures

The ‘headline’ transit of 2026 is the Saturn-Neptune conjunction – which occurs not at any random degree, but at the very beginning of the zodiac, at 0° Aries.

0° Aries is the beginning of the 360-degree Aries-Pisces zodiac, a point of initiation and new cycles. So having Saturn and Neptune conjunct here signals a powerful new beginning – a true Genesis moment.

the astrology of 2026 and Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries

Tropical astrology, which we all use today, is based on the equinoxes and solstices, with the Aries equinox – 0° Aries, marking the beginning of the astrological year

The importance of 0° Aries was long understood in traditional astrology – back in the day, the 0° Aries ingress chart was used to predict the fate of kings and the collective direction of the year in mundane astrology.

Modern astrology has largely forgotten just how important this cardinal point is. But here we are, in 2026, with a configuration – Saturn conjunct Neptune at 0° Aries –  humanity hasn’t witnessed in thousands of years, and we won’t see again for a very long time.

The last time Saturn and Neptune conjuncted at 0° Aries is believed to have occurred more than 9,000 years ago, around 7,000 BC – a period that coincided with the birth of agriculture and the rise of settled human life.

THAT is the type of scale and magnitude we’re talking about here.

This doesn’t mean that on February 21st, 2026, when the two planets conjunct, a switch will flick and the world will instantly look different.

2026 And 0° Aries – A New World

However, whether we recognize it in the moment or only later, looking back in retrospect, a new era will be born – a fundamental shift in how reality is structured and experienced.

Coming back to the astrology of 2026: the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in February sets the tone for the entire year, and by April 2026, when Uranus re-enters Gemini, it will ‘click’ for all of us that Yes – we are living in a completely new world.

If in 2025 we got the question – is AI a real thing or just another hype? Is the economy really shifting toward something new, or will we simply return to the global patterns of the last decades? – 2026 will give us the answer.

2026 will show us a clear direction, and there will be no doubt about which way we’re heading. We are not in the old world anymore.

The second half of 2026 introduces a new energy into this new matrix: Jupiter enters Leo, Chiron enters Taurus, and the Lunar Nodes shift from Virgo/Pisces to Leo/Aquarius.

If the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) are the ones setting the long-term direction – Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, and the Lunar Nodes act as the second line of intervention. This is where things become real.

It’s interesting that Jupiter, Chiron, and the Nodes all enter fixed signs, helping stabilize, anchor, and implement the agenda introduced by the outer planets. 2026 is when the larger shifts begin to materialize and take shape in everyday life.

Now let’s get a feel for the most important transits of the year and how they shape this turning-point moment.

February 2026 – Saturn Conjunct Neptune at 0° Aries

If you’re familiar with the Tarot archetypes, 0° Aries reminds us of the Fool. This is the first card in the deck – the innocent stepping into the unfamiliar, one step ahead of the known, into the unknown with trust.

At first glance, the Fool may appear naive or even foolish. But in his openness and unguarded presence, we can sense there’s a deep inner knowing at work, as if he’s animated by something larger than reason.

Similarly, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries feels like a new beginning, but also like something we’ve always known – something that existed before time was born. It’s a return to ourselves AND to the world – starting from zero and returning to zero.

With one foot on the edge of the known and one already stepping into the unknown, we are at the center – at the center of ourselves and at the center of the world at the same time – the primordial point from which new possibilities begin to take form.

Something is rearranging inside of us while, and at the same time, the world itself changes direction.

What exactly emerges next depends on individual context. This can show up as a literal new beginning, but it can also work in subtler ways – like a deep internal realignment.

Regardless, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at the zero degree of the zodiac marks a shift where we are no longer willing to live our lives by inherited or outdated scripts.

The mist gathered in the last degrees of the zodiac clears up – and the landscape that appears looks like nothing we’ve seen before.

April 2026 – Uranus (re)enters Gemini

On April 26th, 2026, Uranus enters Gemini. Uranus has already given us a taste of this Gemini energy between July and November 2025. But this time he’s here to stay – this is IT.

Gemini is a natural placement for Uranus. Gemini is curious and mobile. Uranus is fast and restless. Uranus in Gemini can bring us brilliant ideas and progress at the speed of light, moving faster than our nervous systems can keep up with.

If 2025 was the ‘test run’ for 2026, 2026 is when things truly accelerate and we will get to witness what this transit is really about.

In Gemini, Uranus will revolutionize the way information moves, how we communicate, and how we connect, triggering a total technological and communication revolution.

With Uranus in Gemini, centralized platforms lose dominance as new, decentralized channels emerge and people move away from traditional broadcasting like TV, newspapers, and mainstream media.

Uranus in Gemini will ask us to quickly adapt and keep up with the times, and people who are ahead of the curve in terms of digital literacy, information fluency, and mental flexibility will benefit most from this shift.

Agility – staying curious, flexible, and open to constant change will become the real currency of this transit.

Here you can read a detailed report about Uranus in Gemini transit

June 2026 – Chiron Enters Taurus

On June 18th, 2026, Chiron makes its first entry into Taurus. It stays there until September 17th, 2026, before retrograding back into Aries, giving us an early preview of the Chiron-in-Taurus themes that will fully unfold from April 2027 onward.

Chiron in Taurus turns our attention to value and safety, asking us to question what we’ve been building our sense of security on.

Are those foundations solid, or are they built on unhealed wounds, unprocessed experiences, or narratives that no longer serve us?

This transit can stir early wounds around safety, stability, and self-worth, especially where we haven’t felt supported or resourced in meeting our basic needs at different points along our life’s journey.

As always with Chiron, the wound is a gift in disguise: the very area of vulnerability becomes a source of strength, and lived experience acts as fuel, giving us the grit and grounded wisdom that ultimately becomes Chiron’s real gift.

A detailed report about the Chiron in Taurus transit will follow closer to the date.

June 2026 – Jupiter Enters Leo

On June 30th, 2026, Jupiter enters Leo, and it enters with a (big) bang since it almost immediately opposes Pluto in Aquarius

Jupiter in Leo wants personal authority and authorship, while Jupiter opposite Pluto sets this expansion against the power of the collective and its systems.

If you’re familiar with Greek mythology, you know that Jupiter (Zeus) and Pluto (Hades) are the apex powers of the pantheon, so when these 2 powerhouses clash, power struggles are inevitable.

With Jupiter in Leo in general, and particularly when fueled by the Pluto opposition, there is a strong push for people to reclaim their authority from a ‘system’ that feels too abstract and detached from lived reality.

This tension is further intensified by a square to Chiron in Taurus, bringing up themes of ownership, value, and self-worth – a “don’t mess with what’s mine” line in the sand, whether that’s personal property, personal values, or a fundamental sense of identity.

Jupiter also forms a harmonious trine with Neptune in Aries – and a few months into the transit, with Saturn in Aries as well – helping us anchor our vision with inspiration and responsibility.

Fire trines restore our sense of purpose and agency. We are no longer called to live out other people’s dreams, but to stand behind our own.

July 2026 – Uranus Trine Pluto

In July 2026, Uranus (at 4° Gemini) forms an exact trine to Pluto (at 4° Aquarius), while Neptune in early Aries forms supportive sextiles to both planets.

Uranus and Pluto will align in a trine 5 times (there are 5 exact hits): July 18, 2026; November 29, 2026; June 15, 2027; January 13, 2028; and May 9, 2028 – and the entire period in between will be marked by this rare and auspicious alignment. There is a lot to look forward to over the next couple of years!

Uranus in Gemini trine Pluto in Aquarius is an excellent transit for large-scale progress, systemic innovation, and technological acceleration.

Regardless of how this unfolds on the ground – and there will be tensions – we can take some reassurance in knowing that when these 2 gods are in agreement, things are moving in the right direction – even if the process itself is disruptive at times.

A detailed report about the Uranus-Pluto trine will follow closer to the date.

July 2026 – South Node In Leo, South Node In Aquarius

On July 27th, 2026, the Lunar Nodes shift from Virgo/Pisces into Leo/Aquarius, adding even more weight to this axis that’s already strongly activated in 2026.

In addition to the Nodes, we have Jupiter in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius, so 2026 puts a huge spotlight on the tension between the individual and the collective

Until now, Pluto in Aquarius has been doing this work on its own, operating in the background, slowly reshaping systems. With the Nodes and Jupiter joining in, this theme moves front and center – it’s no longer subtle or optional, to put it mildly.

This is a year that asks us to reconsider who we are, what we stand for, and how we position ourselves in relation to society, systems, and the collective.

Mercury Retrograde in 2026

In 2026, Mercury goes retrograde in Water signs.

One of the distinctive patterns of the Mercury cycle is that Mercury retrogrades through signs of the same element (fire, earth, air, or water) for approximately a couple of years.

In 2025, the Mercury retrogrades started in Fire and ended in Water signs, marking a transitional year in the cycle.

In 2026, Mercury retrogrades start and end in Water signs only. This makes the Mercury retrogrades of 2026 less about connecting disparate dots and more about focused processing of emotional and psychological material.

Mercury retrogrades in 2026 ask us to get our inner story straight from the inside out, by releasing karmic material and tuning into the body’s intelligence and emotional memory.

Here are the 3 annual Mercury retrogrades in 2026:
  • February 26th – March 20th, 2026: Mercury retrograde from 22° Pisces to 8° Pisces
  • June 29th – July 23rd, 2026: Mercury retrograde from 26° Cancer to 16° Cancer
  • October 24th – November 13th, 2026: Mercury retrograde from 20° Scorpio to 5° Scorpio

People with strong placements in the Water signs will be especially ‘targeted’ by this year’s Mercury retrogrades, and you will be particularly influenced if you have a personal planet or an angle anywhere on Mercury’s retrograde path, and especially at the degrees of its station.

And for all of us, 2026 is a year focused on emotional processing, journaling, therapy, revisiting family stories and transgenerational work, or establishing boundaries.

When Mercury retrogrades in water signs, we want to do less talking and more listening – to others, and especially to ourselves. Fewer words, more meaning – and answers found not in logic or scientific facts, but in how we actually feel on the inside.

Eclipses in 2026 – Dates And Types

In 2026, we have 4 eclipses, 2 of which occur on the Virgo/Pisces axis and 2 on the Leo/Aquarius axis.

All the 2026 eclipses align with other important transits, making them particularly charged.

The first 2 eclipses happen just before, and after the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, highlighting the importance and karmic weight of this epochal transit.

The Solar Eclipse on February 17th, 2026, just before the Saturn-Neptune exact conjunction, is square Uranus. This is a rupture Eclipse: the shell cracks open, and we’re awakened – either through a shocking revelation, or through the confirmation of a deeper truth we’ve known all along.

Once known, it cannot be erased. Once seen, it cannot be unseen. From that point onward, there’s no turning back.

Here are the 2026 Eclipses:
  • February 17th, 2026 – Partial North Node Solar Eclipse at 28° Aquarius
  • March 3rd, 2026 – Total South Node Lunar Eclipse at 12° Virgo
  • August 12th, 2026 – Total South Node Solar Eclipse at 20° Leo
  • August 28th, 2026 – Partial North Node Lunar Eclipse at 4° Pisces

If you have personal planets or angles at the degree of the Eclipse (plus minus 2-3 degrees) that particular eclipse will be especially relevant.

In-depth reports for each eclipse will follow closer to the date.

The Astrology Of 2026 – Genesis

If the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction of 2020 planted the seed of a new order, 2026 is where that seed breaks through the ground.

2026 is the year of Genesis: a new identity, a new story, a new relationship between the individual and the collective.

What has been forming quietly over the past years – technologically, psychologically, socially – now becomes visible, embodied, and irreversible.

Something fundamental shifts, and once it does, there’s no going back to how things were.

In 2026, the question is no longer if the world is changing, but who you become in the process – and what kind of future you choose to participate in.

This is the year where direction replaces uncertainty – and where the story truly begins.
