Why do people keep their nail polish color? An investigation

Weddings aside, I can understand the need for individuality. Finally, when people say that they think of beautiful nails when they think of me, I feel my chest swell with pride. It is this idea that has led to so many customizations in the nail field, even when choosing a style that corresponds to certain trends. Nail artist Lauren Hazel Broe says she mixes custom colors for her clients. While these shades may look like basic nudes to the untrained eye (and fit well into the clean-girl aesthetic), Broe says her clients like to keep their customized cocktails. “When I’ve tried colors or combinations with them for a long time and we finally achieve what they want, they just want everything for themselves,” she says. It goes both ways. “After spending all this time trying different combinations, it feels so individual to me that I somehow don’t want to give it away [what I’ve created]says Broe. It’s a way to hold on to their own hard work. “Some shades just become a part of you or your client, and it feels wrong to share them with others,” she adds.
