Hey, Friday! Here in Hilton Head, SC with my bestie from high school for a long weekend before I head to Arkansas to see my dear fam. What a gorgeous area this is. I will definitely be back. I have had some of the best seafood while I’ve been here. But mostly it’s been the bestie time that was so needed. And the pool time, let’s be honest.
Don’t miss out on the cutest little tank on sale at GAP Factory. I just got it in the cherry print and I have it in black, too. It’s the perfect easy top for summer. If you don’t love a sticky gloss or a heavy lipstick, this balm lipstick is so good. My gal doesn’t love the feeling of anything heavy on her lips, but has been getting into makeup and loves this. Lastly…do you need a soft topper to grab when you’re in the blasting AC this time of year? Or need the perfect swim cover-up? I’m living in my GAP Big Shirt in gauze and it’s freaking the best. I have it in white but want all the colors now.

ONE: Pretty stoked that the Moxie shorts are on sale in black right now. I’ve got a styling post coming out this week and they’re just the best. I have the hardest time finding shorts that work on me and these have a nice wide leg opening, comfy fit at the waist and are a perfect length. True to size on these for me, unlike the Moxie jeans where I tend to size down. Similar Sweater | Sandals
TWO: I may have actually tried on all the fisherman sandals at this point and this pair from DSW is a really solid option. They have a cushioned footbed, a sturdy sole, a perfect taupe shade and were comfy on. They felt a little tight across the toe box but just barely and felt like they’d definitely break-in with wear for a bit more room. A really solid choice if you’ve been wanting a pair! Happy summer solstice! Between the splash pad, our neighborhood pool, “water days” at Jude’s summer camp, and my husband always stashing towels in his car for post trail rides, I cannot do laundry loads of towels fast enough. I’m actually tapped out. I just ordered these “cabana towels” on sale to beef up our stash, purely for how cute they are, but they get good reviews, too!
Anthropologie marked down their outdoor section for this weekend only, and I really want these but for indoors!!! But back to the actual outdoors, I’m feeling all nostalgic picturing wearing these around a bonfire after a long day of swimming in the lake. Or, let’s be honest, they’d also just be excellent for cozying up in the evening, inside in the air conditioning.

ONE: The block print I’ve been drooling over is just as good in real life. These pants are super well made, with a drapey leg and a subtle sheen that makes them almost feel/look like silk. I didn’t order the matching top and now I feel like I need to correct that mistake.
TWO: The back of this dress is perfection. I want to wear this over a swim suit, on a boat, for the summer holidays, to date night…it’s SUPER easy and quite possibly the most lightweight dress I’ve ever worn, making it superb for hot hot heat!

Greetings from Florida, still. We had a lil’ family emergency but all is well now. Except that my suitcase made it back to Grand Rapids, MI without me, as I had to leave the airport at the last minute. Dangit. My mom was kind enough to lend me a few pieces from her closet, which has been…fun, to say the least. Oh, well we made it work and at least I don’t have to wait in line to check a bag or lug a carry-on with me this time around. It’s all about the little wins.

ONE: Free People’s Katia Cotton Poplin Maxi Skirt – After searching what felt like every cute cotton skirt for sale on the internet, I have finally found the poplin skirt of my dreams. This FP skirt is crisp and fresh and so well made. Right now it is 40% off PLUS an extra 25% off making it less than $60! I ordered one size down and am happy with the fit.
TWO: Gap Factory’s High Rise Barrel Khaki Camos and Gap Factory Sandals – These Gap Factory camos are officially my new favorite pants ever, I wear them with everything (as you can see in this post I wrote styling them 10 ways here). They are uber flattering and currently on sale for their lowest price yet, under $30! Also, the sandals are only $14 now and I have them in two colors.

This week has been a lot. We made the move Sunday — right after the kids had Father’s Day brunch with their dad — and it’s the first time all of my stuff has been in one place in months. There were SO many boxes…but as someone with ADHD, I basically couldn’t function until everything was in its right place. So yeah — I’ve been organizing nonstop all week.
Meanwhile, the kids jumped straight into summer camps on Monday. G’s doing musical theater and had her big audition for Matilda (a role she’s been dreaming about forever). We’ve watched the movie more times than I can count — and she GOT THE ROLE. She’s Matilda! I’m so proud of her I could cry (and maybe already did).
Hoping to settle in a bit this weekend — and maybe even relax for a second. ONE: I’ve tried to make the baggy, longer shorts work…but they just make my legs look even shorter. At 5’4”, I need a slightly shorter inseam to keep things flattering — and these MOTHER shorts are it. My latest discovery: they’re made with lyocell, so they’re super soft and comfy. I sized up to a 29 for more of a relaxed fit, and they’ve been on heavy rotation. Bonus? There’s a little surprise on the back that made me laugh. They’re on sale plus an extra 15% off with code.
TWO: Speaking of soft denim…the Good American jeans I just shared are now 15% off too. They’re part of the Soft Tech Collection and somehow manage to feel like loungewear and fit like a dream — super soft, high-rise, curve-hugging, and crazy flattering.

Happy weekend, friends! We had so much fun exploring the Lost Sierra last weekend for Chris’ bike race. Some much needed mountain air, sunshine and pool time. (There’s a peek of the epic views here.) Back home this week, we got the hot tub all ready to rock and our new smoker is ripping and we’re eager to really sink into some chill, backyard summering over the new few weeks.
Nordstrom has an additional 25% off clearance this weekend, which means the versatile top I’ve been wanting to pair with, uhhh, everything is down to $58 (usually $128). This little denim dress would be so easy to reach for now and really fun to style for fall later. And if you’ve been tempted by Gap Factory’s SuperSoft jeans, they’ve been hacked down to $28. I love the high waist, wide leg and variety of washes, too.

ONE: I wore this top so much in the fall, but I’ve been reaching for it even more this summer. Such a pretty twist on a comfy, stretchy, white tee. If you want it less cropped than I’m wearing it, I’d size up one. (Also here, in limited sizes.)
TWO: I can’t get over the bang for your buck in this necklace set. Two necklaces, loads of charms, under $40? Such a fun, affordable way to style up summer dresses, bathing suits and the like without worrying about losing or damaging precious jewelry with SPF or chlorine.
