Soshe Beauty Review – The Stripe

75

One more up-and-coming beauty brand I’ve been really loving is SOSHE Beauty! SOSHE is a clean, refillable makeup brand with an emphasis on sustainabiity, ingredient transparency, and reducing waste. Right now, you can buy it on Credo or on their website.

The name SOSHE originates from the words, “So She,” which came up as the founders tried to capture the essence of who their customer would be. “So she is confident,” “So she shouldn’t have to compromise,” “So she is enough.” “So she.” The line is pretty edited, but I have tried a few things and really like them all. The eyeliner and lip balm are probably my two favorites if I had to choose, but I love the blush too!

It’s also worth noting that the brand is Leaping Bunny certified (so cruelty-free), “Certified Plastic Negative” and a member of 1% for the Planet!

Peptide Glow Hydrating Lip Treatment

This lip balm was my first introduction to the brand, in the color Brûlée. It’s so pretty! Just a really gorgeous, natural flush. The formula is super hydrating, great for dry lips, as it’s really more of a treatment product than makeup. The formula contains peptides and hyaluronic acid and this is one of my favorite things that the brand makes.

Blurring Pillow Blush

This blush is one of my favorites. The shade that looks best on me is “Rosy Rest,” a dusty pink mauve. I like that it is super lightweight and has long wear. I will always tell you if I think you need the brush, and in this case, I don’t think you do. It’s a nice brush, but my other brushes work well with the product, and sometimes I’ll use my fingers and tap it onto my skin that way.

Waterproof Precision Eyeliner

OK I love this eyeliner. It’s perfect if you want a tighter line, as the tip is incredibly small (1.5mm)I will just draw tiny little dashes very close to my lash line for a natural, precise look. It’s easy to apply and looks great every time. This may not be saying much but I never have to redo my liner when I use this, and that is not always the case.

Peptide Lengthening Mascara

This mascara is good, but I don’t feel as attached to it as I do with some of SOSHE’s other products. It’s very good for lengthening and separation but it isn’t the best mascara I’ve tried. If I were to choose a favorite clean mascara, I think it would probably be Jones Road. Clean mascara is hard! It isn’t a bad mascara, but it isn’t a WOW mascara either, if that makes sense.
