Riverdance Returns! A New Generation takes the World Stage.
Celebrating 30 years of breathtaking performances worldwide, Riverdance continues to mesmerize audiences in the new year.
The New Generation, another magical choreographed extravaganza, will tour 35 major cities across the USA from January to June 2025. Award-winning cast members from all corners of the globe are featured, showcasing talents from Irish dance to drumming.
And, most of the cast is younger than the show itself!
Riverdance New Generation lead dancers, Anna Mai and Fergus Fitzpatrick weren’t even born when Riverdance premiered. They and Lorcan Murphy, an original Riverdance cast member, share personal perspectives and insights in a new year online interview.
The Riverdance refresh will not disappoint. To date, the performance has received rave reviews. And, critics and audiences alike, are awestruck. Riverdance is a truly hypnotic spectacle powered by unique choreography and engaging storytelling. An amazing creative blend of music and movement. Not to be missed.

Riverdance, the original seven-minute version, first performed at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, transmitting to over 300 million viewers worldwide.
And, in March 1996, Riverdance arrived in North America, opening at Radio City Hall, New York for eight sell-out shows.

Sadly, my Irish ancestry did not give me the genetic gift of athleticism or dance on a professional level. But one can still dream. I may not own a pair of the unique Irish Jig or Ghillie shoes, but I celebrate this traditional artform by enjoying a performance every chance I can. It is not only the power of the dance but the music that stirs my soul.
