Toxic metals are found almost everywhere. They are found in the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water from our faucets, metal cookware, old paint, aluminum cans, and more. Most of us carry heavy metals that have been stuck in our tissues for many years. The longer metals stay in our body, the more they damage every system in our body, causing inflammation and making the body more susceptible to all kinds of diseases.

It is important for all of us to work to remove heavy metals such as mercury, lead, aluminum, nickel, copper and cadium from the organs where they accumulate. An accumulation of heavy metals in the body can lead to many mental and physical illnesses. However, there are certain foods and herbs that we can regularly include in our diet that will help support the body in eliminating heavy metals.

Ingredients to remove heavy metals

Chlorella/Spirulina helps remove heavy metals from the liver, nervous system and brain. Combined with corianderThey are excellent at removing heavy metals. For this heavy metal detox smoothie, I combined some of nature’s most powerful ingredients. This smoothie can be taken daily to support the chelation and excretion of heavy metals, even those found deep in tissues.

This is currently the smoothie I make every day, also known as the heavy metal detox smoothie. Sometimes I add other healthy ingredients like goji berries, coconut water, hemp or chia seeds, and mushroom powder. Regardless, I make it an active practice to remove heavy metals from my body.

Heavy metal detox smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup wild blueberries
  • 1 cup coriander
  • 1/2 cup mint
  • 1 teaspoon blue-green algae such as chlorella or spirulina
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 peeled lemon or lime
  • Water

Directions:

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
