Palais Garnier
by Wendy VanHatten
Built by Charles Garnier and opened in 1875, the Paris Opera House is an historical monument open for performances and for tours. With seating for almost 2,000 the Palais Garnier is probably the most famous opera houses in the world. Opulence at every level from ceilings to floors, this should definitely be on your ‘must see’ list when you’re in Paris.
You can schedule a guided tour or take a self-guided one with an audio and tablet. Check out some of the highlights.
