Hey, hey! It’s a foggy morning here in Portland and I adore a foggy morning. I’m currently dog sitting for friends and their dog Kevin (Frenchie/Boston Terrier mix) is insisting that the fireplace be turned on. He’s what the French call “les incompetents”, but he at least likes a cozy set up. And though this PNW gal loves where she lives and wants to retire to also-foggy Scotland someday, I AM really stoked about my trip to Palm Springs (less than 2 weeks!)
I’ve been slathering myself in this (on sale) for a few weeks as I try-on swimsuits and get ready to glow… AND I think Old Navy may have created the perfect t-shirt that would totes work as a cover-up and it’s $15 right now. Dang. Lastly, if you saw my boxy oxfords post recently, I guess I totally missed that Gap has one – it looks great and is an extra 30% off! (Full article here for the others.)
ONE: Hey-o these Madewell Low Slung Baggy jeans in a great wearable leopard print (ooh and a light blue denim) are 25% off right now. They were an amazing bonus find when I was trying on boxy oxfords lately. They fit great (TTS) and don’t sit too terribly low, just not too high rise which I adore actually.
TWO: This Blondie graphic tee I have loved forever is only $22 right now at Nordstrom. It’s the perfect graphic tee IMO and I love it with blazers. Wore this combo in my first segment over at the Hello Rose City Portland morning show and it’s a forever favorite! Blazer here.

Greenlea and Ozzie have their first school dance tonight! G wasn’t originally going to be able to go because of rehearsal, but it got canceled, and now she’s over the moon to experience it with her friends. And since we’re moving at the end of the school year, I’m especially glad she gets to have this moment.
Ozzie, of course, is always up for an excuse to get fancy—he’s already handed out one of his bow ties to a friend. That kid might just have the strongest fashion opinions in this house. (OK, we all know that’s not true 🙋♀️… but it’s close!)

ONE: $100 off this Sam jacket at Saks! I love everything about it—the stand collar, the sleeve details, the hand-warmers with thumbholes, and all the gorgeous color options. (I’m wearing jet here but am loving the rich dark marine.) It runs small–I’m wearing a medium here and am typically a small in jackets and coats!
TWO: Shoutout to Emily for finding these jeans—she had me at “off-duty model.” Sometimes, all-black just works. These come in three lengths and regular, petite, and tall sizes for the perfect fit. Helluuur weekend. I truly don’t have much new to share, but before jumping into sales I want to shout out one of my fave small businesses if you’re in need of some kiddo swim before spring break. The quality is amazing (as in, you can pass these pieces down to siblings or friends multiple times), plus the prints and graphics are some of the coolest around.
As for sales? I’ve been threatening to pick up these sneakers for months now, and this hint-of-pink shade is currently on sale which I think is my sign. Also added this neck scarf to my cart (adding them to EVERY outfit right now, even if just dangling cutesy from my bag handle). But if I can do something a little different and warn you of an item to consider skipping? This jacket. I’m SO bummed – it’s absolutely massive, which I have considered trying a size or two down, but the biggest pain point is there are giant chest pockets in real life, which are not pictured online (and that minimalism was a big draw for me initially). SIGH. Guess they can’t all be winners.

ONE: WHEN DID MY FAVORITE HAT COMPANY GET ADDED TO NORDSTROM?! I had a mild freakout this morning when I realized. This is my go-to beanie I’ve worn religiously all fall + winter. The quality + shape is unbeatable. I own a handful of the brimmed hats, too, which are incredible for more reasons than one – the best being you can choose between multiple sizes (hooray for this giant skull of mine)!!
TWO: Clothing is mostly feeling very blah to me at the moment, but this linen button down + drawstring shorts set has been one of the only things I’ve loved and felt good in no matter the mood. It helps that we’ve had temps in the 70s so it’s been perfectly acceptable to wear – but it’s also 100% worth it to scoop up for later when the warmth is actually here to stay (OR for spring break if you’re traveling – this is a must have).

I’m in Columbus this weekend for what was supposed to be a pilgrimage to see JT in his last US tour stop – until he cancelled 12 mins before we got to the venue. Gahhhhhh. But it’s still been a great weekend hanging with my bestie and the night evolved into what can only be described as a good story, so it is what it is. Making the most of one more full day here, so we’re tackling a list of all the new eats I’ve been wanting to try since I lived here 15 (!!) years ago. Things could be much worse.
On to sales: putting this sweet little cherry linen skort-ish number here again because there’s no minimum purchase to get the deal this week (also loving this longer version, though not linen). These Levi’s in my favorite non-stretch composition are half-off (don’t be scared, they break right in!) and they’re the perfect wash and not-too-wide leg. And there’s something so cool and interesting about a gray suede boot, and with the extra 50% off, these would be a freaking steal.
ONE: Going to pop this gorgeous coat here one more time while it’s a whopping 65% off (use code GREAT to get the extra). Can’t tell you what a treasure this coat has been this season – or how many compliments I’ve received while wearing it. Wearing an XS Regular here and it’s perfectly oversized.
TWO: If we’re still into leopard for spring (I am – in fact I adore the idea of mixing it with a floral), this little bag is the perfect accent. The classic shape and hardware keep it feeling smart and timeless, too.

I am beyond excited to get out of dodge this weekend. My dad and I (my forever BFF and favorite traveling buddy) are going on a little cruise starting tomorrow. I know opinions are divided on cruising (and I totally get that it’s not the most ritzy vacay ever) but honestly, these days, I don’t need much to have fun: a couple of pina coladas, the sun, my kindle and I’m a happy girl. I really want one of those trips where I’m like, “what day is it again??” I just need a few days to try and forget about real life… although my brain pretty much never turns off – I’m certainly gonna try my darndest.
As for sales, I have to say I am really loving everything at Abercrombie right now! Especially if you are doing spring break shopping, many spring pieces are 30% off this weekend and almost everything else is 15% off. I’m looking at this Nantucket/East Coast Vintage Crewneck sweatshirt (been reading a ton of Elin Hilderbrand lately) and this pretty, albeit slightly impractical floral strap cami. Also, the mini version of my favorite denim dress is 30% off (check out the SUPER cute leopard print option, too).
ONE: Abercrombie High Rise Satin Lace-Hem Mini Skirt – I bought this skirt from A&F because apparently, I can’t get enough of polka dots for this spring. Also, much to my elated surprise, it’s actually a skort. Not only can I not resist a lace trim skirt, but I can never resist a skort either! It also comes in a soft buttery yellow, as well as a matching gorgeous lace camisole! And it’s on sale this weekend.
TWO: Daze Far Out High Waist Wide Leg Jeans – I know I posted these in last week’s sales report, but honestly, they are SO GOOD and are such a good deal right now (45% off), as well as fully stocked, that it’s worth posting them again! These are one of my favorite pairs of Daze jeans ever, which is saying something because I truly love this affordable denim brand.
