Hugo Spritz is a slightly sweet, sparkling wine cocktail that is SO refreshing!

Just like my simple limoncello spritz, vodka sunrise, cheeky pornstar martini or creamy midori cocktail full of tropical flavours, this elderflower cocktail takes just minutes to prepare.

Whether it’s for a girls night in, a summer party, or Christmas celebrations, this Hugo spritz cocktail is always popular. Serve with cheese crackers and homemade guacamole to nibble on, and celebrate summer with your friends and family.

Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.

  • Elderflower liqueur – this sweet French liqueur is bursting with elderflower flavour. I like to use St Germain elderflower liqueur but you can use any brand you prefer.
  • Prosecco – this Italian sparkling wine can be substituted with any other sparkling champagne such as cava, or champagne.
  • Soda water – also known as club soda. You can use sparkling water if you prefer, although soda water is slightly fizzier than sparkling water.
  • Fresh mint leaves and lime slices – to garnish (optional).
