Here’s a fun little question for today, readers: what beauty schedules do you practice? For example, how often do you get your hair cut? Do you have a schedule for your manicures, blowouts, or even at-home treatments like masks?

For my $.02, I try to recognize these beauty schedules, but I’m not terribly strict about any of it…

  • haircuts every 6-8 weeks for my very long, curly hair — when I wore my hair straighter I would schedule the appointments before I left the salon!
  • hair masks about once a month in dry, wintry months (with my heated cap if I can swing the time/energy for a 30 minute mask like Olaplex, or at the very least a quick hair treatment from VO5 or Not Your Mother’s)
  • skin masks like my beloved Drunk Elephant one once a week, ideally at the same time as the hair mask if I can swing it
