H&M Perfect Hydrating Foundation Review

5

[unpaid/purchase/affiliate] To be truly honest, I didn’t have high expectations for the H&M Perfect Hydrating Foundation when I picked it up the other day. It looks pretty uninspiring but at the same time gave me old No.7 vibes and I like their foundations so curiosity got the better of me.

I have to tell you that my apprehensions were misplaced – I liked it straight away and loved the cool feel and lightweight texture as I applied. I’d say it’s more of a tinted moisturiser than a foundation but the coverage is absolutely perfect for me.

It’s a very liquid base – I wouldn’t rely on this for the SPF15 because a) 15 isn’t enough and b) it’s just too sheer for that claim to hold firm but that fluidity gives it exceptional blendability. I just went over my skin the once but if you want more coverage you can go again, although I’d give it a moment or two to settle before doing so.

The packaging states that the product is sheer coverage and that it contains Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. To me, it feels and looks lot like a much more expensive sheer foundation from Dcypher (in their sheerest formula) that I really like although its ingredients aren’t the same. If you’re like me and cannot bear any weighty products on your face, the H&M Perfect Hydrating Foundation is an absolute win, especially with 24 shades. You can find it HERE.  I’m wearing 5N Almond Beige. I should add that it’s 25ml whereas most foundations are 30ml at least.
