Hildun Chilli Chocolate Kajal Liner Review

I will always have all the time in the world for Hilden Kajal Liners – they’re really on a par with Victoria Beckham and a little bit cheaper too, so I was thrilled to see a new shade land on my desk. Called Chilli Chocolate, it’s a bit more burgundy-toned than I was expecting but wow – when it’s on the lids and inner rims, especially surrounded by some bitter browns, it’s stunning! I’m wearing it in the picture with the Mythical Romance Palette.

In contrast, I’m not such a fan of the new brightening kohl, All Day Nude, for the inner rims. On me, I think it makes me look rabbity rather than wider awake or with bigger eyes although I can see that, of its type, it’s a lot better both in texture and tone than others I’ve tried.

The shade is a light beige with pink under-tones and I can see if you are prone to red inner rims, it can be useful for neutralizing that. You could also use it as an eyeshadow base – like a brightening primer.

Chilli Chocolate can easily be worn on its own with just some black or brown mascara to give it an essential deeper shade surround – I’ve just bought a bitter chocolate coloured silky shirt from Zara so I’m looking forward to seeing how Chilli Chocolate works when I’m wearing that. Bitter browns have all their warmth taken out and I know that against my skin tone that’s not ideal so I’ll definitely need some heating up! You can find them HERE for £16 each.
