This holiday season, you’re probably busy shopping for gifts for all the important people in your life. But I bet I can think of someone you left off your list.

Himself.

We often take care of everyone else and put ourselves last. This year I want you to take some time to reflect on yourself. I know this might make you uncomfortable because you might not be used to putting yourself first. But you deserve it. Trust me, you do.

Since you probably haven’t put yourself on your own list, I’ve got you on my list. This year I want to give you a gift: permission to add some self-care to the long list of things you need to do for everyone else every day, and especially during the holidays.

As you put together your to-do list full of tasks and traditions, think about planning a trip to your favorite bakery for a pumpkin muffin, scheduling a massage, or just going to bed early and curling up with your favorite book.

The holidays will still happen whether you’re worried about them or not. So take a break, relax – and remember that taking care of yourself should be a priority for 2025.
