The good news is the new Gozney Tread pizza oven is available today, Monday 10 March. You can find it online at Gozney.
The new oven is available in two colours – olive (our favourite, of course!) and black. If Gozney’s previous launches are anything to go by, we expect to see a huge amount of popularity around the Gozney Tread. If you’re hoping to secure your new pizza oven ahead of spring we’d recommend shopping sooner rather than later to avoid any delays.

The Gozney Tread costs £499.99, making it the second most affordable of Gozney’s pizza ovens.
The oven has the look of Gozney’s pricier models like the Dome and Arc but for under £500. If you’re considering taking a plunge into the world of pizza ovens this could be a great place to start for a model that looks elegant while performing brilliantly.

Our favourite features of the new Gozney Tread
We had the chance to put the Gozney Tread through its paces ahead of its UK launch and were impressed by how it performed, scoring 4.5/5 stars.
It looks beautiful straight out of the box. The style is reminiscent of Gozney’s larger pizza ovens like the Dome but is much more compact. It weighs 13.5kg but the two carry handles on the roof make it easy to move around. Just bear in mind that you’ll also need to transport your gas canister if you’re taking the pizza oven on an adventure.
Set-up is easy as the pizza oven is already assembled – all you need to do is connect to the gas canister, cure your oven for 30 minutes and you’re ready to cook pizzas. We were able to achieve a high temperature very easily and our pizzas cooked quickly.
Our pizzas were crisp with a perfectly mottled base. The oven might be compact compared to Gozney’s larger models but we still found it big enough to cook vegetables, steaks and more in a cast iron skillet, making it a versatile piece of kit.

What accessories do you need for the new Gozney Tread?
There are lots of accessories available to buy with the Gozney Tread, some of which are essential while others might be nice to have depending on where you plan on taking your new portable pizza oven.
To make pizza in any pizza oven, a peel is essential for building your pizza and transferring to and from the oven safely. Gozney has the Venture Placement Peel which is a great size for the Tread and costs £79.99.
Another element that we think you should consider when buying the Tread is the stand. The Tread Venture Stand is designed like a camera tripod with four adjustable legs which allow you to set up on any terrain. The Tread Venture Stand costs £199.99 and will definitely make your pizza experience better.
Other accessories on offer for the Tread include the Tread Venture Bag, £89.99, Tread Mantel, £79.99, which acts as a lip on the edge of the oven to extend your cooking zone, and the Tread Roof Rack, £89.99, which sits on top of the oven giving you a surface to prepare and serve food on.

What’s the difference between the Gozney Roccbox and Gozney Tread?
Gozney has two portable pizza ovens – the Roccbox and the new Tread. Both scored well when we tested them, with the Roccbox scoring 4/5 and the Tread 4.5/5. If you’re choosing between the two there are a few things to consider.
The first is price. The Roccbox is Gozney’s most affordable pizza oven at £399.99, plus it has fold-out legs so you don’t need to purchase a separate stand, although it will need to sit on a heatproof surface. The Tread is £100 more at £499.99 but if you want the accompanying stand you’ll need to buy it separately.
Another consideration is fuel type. The new Tread pizza oven uses gas fuel, while the Roccbox is primarily gas fuelled but you can buy a detachable wood burner which makes it into a dual-burner pizza oven.
