Full Moon In Taurus – The Breaking Of The Dam
On October 25th-26th, 2026, we have a Full Moon at 2° Taurus.
To say this Full Moon is intense is an understatement.
The Full Moon in Taurus is conjunct Chiron, and it’s exactly square Pluto.
In fact, the Full Moon is part of a larger T-square: the Moon at 2° Taurus, Chiron at 28° Aries, the Sun at 2° Scorpio and Venus retrograde at 29° Libra are all squared by Pluto.
Pluto is at the apex of this T-square, which means that all the tension of this configuration is concentrated at one pressure point.
The pressure has become so great that only a greater intervention can break the deadlock and force things to change.

Full Moon – Taurus Vs Scorpio
The Full Moon activates the Taurus-Scorpio axis – the most immovable signs of the zodiac.
Taurus is how things have always been. Our deepest sense of security, what gives our life structure and stability. Taurus is not going to let go of this of its own accord – even when it hurts (Chiron).
Sun in Scorpio is not going to let go of its entanglements either. We know what’s not working. We know the arrangements that no longer serve us – the codependent dynamics, the relationships that have become transactional, the deals we made to keep the peace.
But knowing isn’t letting go.
Full Moon In Taurus Square Pluto
To hold all these immovable forces in place, we need a pretty big arrangement – a pretty large structure (Pluto in Aquarius).
Something like a dam.
A dam is built to hold all that Scorpio water back, instead of letting it follow its natural course. It only lets through enough to keep the fields watered, the lights on, and life running as it always has (Taurus).
But holding the water back doesn’t take away its force. The more water accumulates, the more pressure the structure has to withstand.
That’s why dams are built to last. These are the big Aquarian structures that keep things together.
And they do keep them together – for years, decades, centuries.
Long enough for us to forget what they’re holding back.
We start building houses downstream. We make plans. We build entire lives on the assumption that the dam will hold. It has always been there. It becomes part of the landscape.
Yet, the water never stops pushing.
Full Moon In Taurus – The Breaking Of The Dam
And then –
When the ground we trusted to hold us starts to hurt us – when keeping everything in place means there is less and less room for us (Moon with Chiron)…
When what we really want, what we know to be true (Sun with Venus), can no longer pass through the narrow opening we’ve allowed it…
The tension can no longer be sustained.
And the dam breaks.
All that (Scorpio) water that looked so still on the surface, but was holding so much pressure underneath, overflows.
All that (Taurus) soil that has been starved of real nourishment gets flooded.
And the lives we built downstream can no longer carry on as if nothing has changed.
All the ways we’ve been compromising ourselves simply can no longer withstand the force that is Pluto.
Because truth can’t be dammed forever. There comes a point when what we’ve built to hold our lives together becomes the very thing that keeps life from flowing. And keeping it standing costs us more than letting it break.
The Full Moon in Taurus will help us recognize what we’ve been holding on to for too long – perhaps out of a need for security, perhaps because of financial entanglements, old values or relationship dynamics that have kept us stuck in a place that starves us of real nourishment.
The Full Moon conjunct Chiron shows us where we’ve been devaluing ourselves, ignoring our inner knowing, denying ourselves what we truly need – perhaps because we’ve never known any better, perhaps because change has been genuinely difficult.
Pluto in Aquarius reveals that the structure that was holding it all together is no longer able to bear the weight of what we’ve outgrown.
In Aquarius, Pluto asks us to build from a different vision for our lives, one that is more authentic and more aligned with the type of person we want to grow into, with the type of life we want to have in the future.
Full Moon In Taurus – The Promises We’ve Made
Pluto is also conjunct Juno, the asteroid of commitment, asking us: what is true commitment?
The ring on the finger? The career we spent 20 years building? The mortgage that keeps us in a job we’ve outgrown? The business we started for freedom that now leaves us with none?
Is this commitment an expression of what’s true for us – or an obstacle to it?
And if something needs to change, does that mean we’ve failed to honor our commitment? Or have we become so committed to keeping the arrangement intact that we’ve forgotten what we made it for?
At this Full Moon in Taurus, we are asked to remember what we were saying YES to in the first place.
What would our life look like if it was rooted in a commitment to ourselves?
And what dam in our life needs to break to let what we truly want become more than something we’ve learned to live without?
