Dr Idriss Barrier Lip Basting Duo Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m still all thumbs on my new laptop which surprisingly has been relatively easy (largely because Lucy did all of it!) but despite it being a very similar model to my old one, my fingers are so at one with the old key board that they’re slightly out of place on this one. I know, the answer is to type more and create the muscle memory which is exactly what I’m doing this minute when I tell you about the Dr Idriss Barrier Lip Basting Duo.

The Barrier Baste Lip Peel is an exfoliating serum that uses AHA Mandelic acid to chemically peel and Gluconolactone as a humectant exfoliator – trust me this is a gentle process and you won’t really be aware of it (other than a slight back taste). Added to those are squalane and ceramides so even before I tell you how well it works, you can probably tell how well it works just from that list.

You apply the Lip Peel via a roller ball so we can all have a bit of a throw back to Bonne Belle. The Barrier Lip Baste is a very shiny balm that uses key ingredients, squalane and ceramides, so even before I tell you how well it works, you can probably tell how well it works just from that list. I’d easily wear this during the day as well because it gives so much shine that it makes your lips look great. I know that it comes in tint form as well and I love a tinted balm. So, you apply at night time to give the peel time to process and you wait for it to dry for a moment or two before applying the balm. I’ve used it three days in a row and can definitely feel the smoothness – the longer you use it the better the results will be. It’s quite pricy at £44 HERE but you need the tiniest amount of both so it should last a very good while.
