Clarins x LGFB Lip Comfort Oil Review

3

[unpaid/sample] The good thing about the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil is that while it looks perhaps overly vibrant in the bottle, it always translates to something more subtle and wearable. So it is with the collaboration between Clarins and charity, Look Good Feel Better, which supports people with cancer to manage the cosmetic and physical effects of cancer treatments.

I have friends who have attended the Look Good Feel Better workshops and their praise is nothing but glowing – it’s about building confidence, meeting with others in the same situation and receiving lessons from experts on how to manage the physical effects – a good example might be the loss of brows and lashes.

Clarins Lip Oil was the front runner of the whole lip oil trend – they were way ahead of the majority on this gloopy, glossy lip tint that feels so lush on the lips. It’s so lightful that you might say it’s a lip highlighter because they just gleam with brightness. This shade is called Lovely Rose and it’s made specially for Look Good Feel Better, with £2 from the sale of each one going directly to Look Good Feel Better. One Lip Oil is sold every minute around the globe so even for a limited edition, you know it’s going to fly.

Despite the bottle looking somewhat day glo (partly my camera getting over excited), on my lips it’s the most lovely hint of pink surrounded by light. This is such a good example of why I love gloss – it just brings the face to life. Clarins Lip Oils have a new ingredient – organic Sweetbriar Rose Oil – which is rich in omega 6 and 3. The texture feels more slippy than sticky – it’s always a balance between stay and shine and this, in my view, is exactly right. It’s £27 HERE – if you’ve got Boots Points, so much the better :-).
