I come from Scotland where midges rule the land so I’ve had my fair share of bites but it always used to be that taking action against mosquitos was a thing you did abroad, not here in the UK. A couple of weeks ago we had a rogue moz in our bedroom who, thankfully, decided Mr BBB was far more tasty than me – it felt just because he was the one that left the light on and the window open. However, when I was in Italy a couple of years ago I was so badly bitten – my legs were just a disaster and the bites took forever to fade. I wish I’d had a bottle of Body Guard with me then, that’s for sure.

If you haven’t come across Body Guard, it’s made in Provence in their own facility, is dermatologically tested and classified as non-irritating (more than we can say for a bite) and uses a registered biocide that’s proven to give 7 hours of protection. There is a small amount of fragrance (0.5%) – the two I have are Citrus and Sensitive and they’re both perfectly pleasant – and it also protects against ticks (up to 6 hours). Most importantly is that Body Guard doesn’t contain endocrine disruptors. It’s not sexy and it’s not exciting but nobody wants itchy, scabby legs so here we are :-).
