Remember when I said I had nothing going on last weekend? Turns out, the universe took that as a challenge. Ozzie got sick—like full-on, bed-destroying, laundry-multiplying sick. So instead of a relaxing weekend, I got an unexpected crash course in speed-cleaning and bucket placement. Glamorous, I know.
But speaking of glamorous, this weekend I’m in Chicago wedding dress shopping! Andy and I are going together—no superstitions here, just two people who’ve done this before and are way more focused on having fun than following “rules.” Fingers crossed it’s a stress-free, champagne-filled adventure… which is exactly the energy I want for the wedding, too.
When it comes to sales, now is the perfect time to stock up on sweaters. I’ve had my eye on this lyocell & wool turtleneck for a while (the reviews are glowing—up to 60% off!), and this Madewell cardigan looks like the kind of cozy I’d live in (25% off). And for a little something extra, this crystal-embellished sweater has just the right amount of sparkle to go from everyday wear to date night effortlessly–perfect for Valentine’s Day! ❤️

ONE: I’ve been living in this waffle-knit cardigan from Free People since I first tried it weeks ago—and now I own it in three colors. It’s the perfect layering piece with its long sleeves, button-front closure, and that cozy-yet-lightweight texture. Two colors are 25% off at Nordstrom right now, and I’m definitely snagging the ivory… though that lavender ice is perfect for spring! (I sized up to a medium since it’s very fitted!) PS—I LOVE these jeans! They’re available at Nordstrom and MOTHER, but Saks has them for 25% off with code FEB25SF but they’re selling fast!)
TWO: This dress is sold out in black, but I love the yellow for spring (up to 35% off… but if you love the black, this one has the same bottom and is also on sale). The boots are also on sale (half off) and I’m loving that army green color, too!

Hey, Friday. Call your Congresspeople. That’s all I’m gonna say. Keep bugging them. And take breaks – I recommend these coloring books and these markers (I’ve totes recommended them before). I was real cool and rolled my ankle this week (even wearing high tops, yep) and these have been helping with all of it. Put on some fav music (it’s been Billie or Kacey Musgraves for me rn) and zone out for a bit. Xoxo
For fashion distraction (that would be a freaking rad band name) Athleta has a great sale right now. Loving these leggings with a little stripe at the ankle. A sweet little upgrade to basics. And my favorite workout bra top is also on sale in a gorgeous deep shade. Oh, and my Easy Street Cropped Cotton Sweater I live in is also on sale (pictured below, too).

ONE: The Free People Moxie jeans we’ve all been raving about forever are on sale at Nordstrom in an ivory just slightly darker than mine. This is the pair I wear the most and I didn’t realize how much I’d love an ivory jean in my closet (p.s. They’re big for this spring!) These run slightly big IMO but are so comfy! I sized down one. You’ve seen this pic before, but it shows the sweater on sale, too and I LOVE wearing them together!
TWO: These New Frontier western boots, also from Free People, are on sale in a few colors like a deep gorgeous almost-navy and a fun silver at Nordstrom, and black and brown at Zappos. They’ve been a favorite of mine for years. (As evidenced by baby Laura from 2020!)

The plague (aka the flu) finally found my little family, and I’m currently typing this in bed next to my kiddo surrounded by a mound of tissues, 3 types of medicine, and more cups of liquid than I can count. But, thankfully, my latest dose of Dayquil kicked in and I felt motivated to peruse the sales for some much needed distraction (seriously GOD BLESS Dayquil).
If you’re in the market to spruce up your denim for spring, both Gap and Abercrombie are hosting their denim events this weekend – and just so happen to be the two places I recommend for long legs since these retailers are so fantastic with their inseam options. I posted about my fave Gap options below, but these are the perfectly loose, cool-girl jeans I highly recommend from Abercrombie.

ONE: The jeans I own in more washes than I care to admit are on sale at Nordstrom in some really great hues: loving this chic, dark wash so much, but there’s also my exact grey wash pictured above (sizes going quick!). They run loose but I keep my true size so they sit lower on my hips/thus giving me extra length.
TWO: If you haven’t checked out Gap jeans in a while, NOW’S THE TIME. Not only have their new releases been crushing it, but they’re hosting their big “denim event” meaning you can get all the new pairs on sale. You’ve seen me post about this subtle barrel shape ad nauseam (they’re as close to perfection as a jean can get), but I’m also loving this exaggerated, super lightweight, ultra soft pair (size down 1-2 sizes cause they run more than generous).

Oh, hello. We made it through another week. Yay! It’s official: I’m a puzzle person… a puzzler. These puzzles are beautiful and I am going to work my way through them. I’m still looking for a good puzzle table/board recommendation… if you have one, lemme know!
This week, I tried on a bunch of cardigans and I found a bunch I loved, including this WeWoreWhat shawl cardigan – it’s the perfect drape-y, oversized, cocoon fit cardigan and it’s 40% off. Two more that I love on sale are below:
ONE: Daze Far Out High Waist Wide Leg Jeans – These are one of my personal favorite pair of jeans from my DAZE try-on post a little while ago. I absolutely love the flattering fit and the warm, rich animal print color. They are SO GOOD, on sale and fully stocked right now at Nordstrom.
TWO: Open Edit Oversize Rib Zip Sweater – This Open Edit rib zip sweater is such a nice, thick quality (not itchy at all). I love the oversized collar and chic, clean fit. On sale, it’s under $100 and well worth the purchase.
Em’s Top Sale Picks
Happy Friday, gang! I chopped my hair! It’s kinda feeling like a post-breakup move, except I’m heartbroken for the state of the world. But the gist is the same: control the controllable. Call your reps. Cut curtain bangs. Prepare an astonishing meal in the time it takes to watch a single Bluey episode. This one specifically, but made in the rice cooker so it’s even more expeditious. Rinse, repeat.
Other distractions this week, of course – sales! 1) this 3-in-1 straightener. I was loooong overdue for a new one, and the reviews hooked me; 2) FP Moxie pants in railroad stripe! Try to stop me; 3) And is this not the most effortlessly chic dress there ever was? Bring on the spring flings.

ONE: That luxuriously soft, knit rugby polo I picked up a couple weeks ago is now 20% off. It’s one of those buys that I’m more excited about than I even expected to be. And the fact that my 9-year-old try to steal it this week to dress-up at Kristy from The Babysitter’s Club makes me like it even more. (I ended up getting her this, on clearance, instead, which I now want to steal for myself.)
TWO: My sling bag is on sale in loads of colors, including the exact pebbled silver I’m wearing. It’s the perfect size for essentials and the organic shape is a little boho and coolly unexpected. I also love the Moss Suede.
Abby’s Top Sale Picks
V-Day is this coming week and I’m excited for some added romance/sweetness/excuses to treat myself haha. I’m gifting my bff this + some hazelnut truffles, my mom this + some wine, my sister this (lol) + some treats, and my boyfriend these that he won’t splurge on for himself. (Though this holiday really is for the ladies, IMHO.) I will bask in it (by probably getting my nails done & eating pastries… although what I really want is THIS).
I really want to add a couple pretty, springy, feminine tops to my wardrobe. I find these pieces really versatile. Wear ‘em with jeans, silky pants, trousers, boxer pants (below), shorts in the summer – they just go with a lot and pack a sweet, romantic punch that I’m often searching for. Here are a few on sale this week that I’m deciding between: this one by Maje, this ivory Ref one and this silk number in pink ‘serenade’.

ONE: I’ve been loving mixing spring pieces with a bit of warmth lately (well, I have no choice. we’re getting snow in Philly ((go Birds)) this weekend so layering is inevitable), and found that these boxer pants are the perfect glue for my wannabe spring outfits. I can throw on leggings under if I have to, but I’ve been wearing them on their own with sweaters, sneaks & UGGs and I LOVE THEM. Can’t wait to style them for warmer temps. TWO: One timeless layer that I look forward to wearing every winter is this cashmere sweater vest shell. It amps up jeans + a tee in the coziest, most laid-back way. Makes me feel like a Copenhagen girlie or something. Mine is old, but in Nordstorm’s Winter Sale I found four that have a similar feel. One, two, three, four. Size up to layer over tops!
