Paneer Popcorn needs to be a LOT more popular than it is! These crispy, bite-sized pieces of goodness are the most perfect thing to snack on along with some beer. I’ve made them in the Air Fryer – so they come together with just a fraction of the oil Yes please!

Ingredients For Air Fryer Paneer Popcorn

It’s way too easy to make this paneer popcorn in the air fryer. All you need is some schezwan sauce, ketchup, light soy sauce, and salt to make the marinade for the paneer. Coat this with some bread crumbs and brush with just about 2 teaspoons of cooking oil before airfrying.

This recipe comes together in 10 minutes which means you can act on that craving quick! Make it RN 🏃‍♂️

Richa’s Top Tips

  • I would recommend making fresh, homemade paneer for the best flavor and texture.
  • Feel free to replace paneer with tofu if you’re a vegan.
  •  Do not marinate the paneer for longer than the recommended time as it could leave water and become soggy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this with chicken?

I find that popcorn chicken turns out best when deep-fried to make sure it’s juicy and thoroughly cooked through. My KFC Style Popcorn Chicken recipe is an absolute favorite. There are air fryer recipes out there like this one if you’d like to give Air Fryer Chicken Popcorn a try.

Can I make this with veggies?

Absolutely! This would be super yum with cauliflower, zucchini, and even babycorn.

Can this dish be made ahead?

While this dish tastes best fresh off the air fryer, you can bread the paneer and store it in the fridge in an air tight container a few hours. Simply take it out and air fryer before serving.

How to store leftovers?

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days and simply reheat in your air fryer for a few minutes until hot and cripsy.
