It’s practically tradition at this point — one minute it’s spring, the next we’re realizing Memorial Day is right around the corner. And while it’s technically not Memorial Day just yet, the unofficial kickoff to summer is here with early sales.
Flip-flop season? I’m soooo ready.
So, as we do…Danielle & I have started to check out all of our favorite retailers, their sales, and discuss with the team to nail down our very top picks. Now that Memorial Day Sales have started dropping, this list will be updated (basically daily – thanks, D!) with fresh finds and new deals, so consider this your go-to cheat sheet for the sales actually worth shopping.

My Personal Top Memorial Day Sales & Deals, 2025
I’m suddenly realizing I’m low on summer staples (especially tops?) so I’ve been doing a little sartorial “research” lately and whoa: it’s really hit-or-miss out there. That said, I have found a few gems (linked below), and then there are the usual Memorial Day sales I wait to hit every year. This is my highly personal list of what I’ll be shopping for during this Memorial Day sales period.
- I left my beloved Non-Stick Always Pan Pro in Vermont, and am missing it terribly. Happily, Our Place is already 30% off sitewide! NOTE: this pan uses a physical honeycomb-like pattern to create a nonstick surface (and still requires a little oil). It’s not as non-stick as other pans, but it’s MUCH safer. I love, love, love it.
- Summer scent? One of my favorite perfumes, Kai, comes in this handy rollerball and I take it everywhere. It’s so fresh and light and brings all the compliments. 20% off at Nordstrom right now!
- Still the best makeup cleansing balm ever -now 25% off.
- The best laptop backpack for travel – my beloved TUMI backpack – is 20% off right now. I’ve tried to find other laptop bags that are better…and keep coming back to this one.
- The cutest matching linen set is at J.Crew. I bought these shorts and this sailor tee in…red. Sooooo fun.
- The best everyday cotton tank top is at GAP. I got the small petite and it’s perfectly almost-cropped.
- The best everyday linen tank top is at J.Crew. The olive green is stunning in person (but the white is a little sheer).
- I love a loose, easy dress with sleeves, and this linen one at Banana is fantastic. Avoid the brown (it looks like a Monk’s robes, haha) but the green is gorgeous.
- The best cotton sundress for picnics is at J.Crew. It’s wildly comfortable, is 100% cotton poplin, looks & feels incredibly well-made, and has pockets. Also, the prints are amazing (peaches, anyone??).
- The best designer jeans sale is at Saks. This Moussy pair is currently in my cart (2 sizes up – Moussey runs small and I want them very slouchy) as well as this pair of Re/Dones (sized up one size). That said, this Moussy pair would be great for work.
- If anyone else needs a sweatsuit refresh, GAP’s Vintage Baggy Wide-leg Sweatpants (in multiple lengths) and matching sweatshirt are perfect. I like that they’re lighter weight for summer…but still feel like old-school fleece (nothing like Vuori, as a comparison). I just got the navy set (40% off!).
- Vacation clothes for the boys – hubs and the teens all like Abercrombie’s Loose linen-cotton pull on pants, and the shorts, too. Pairing either with a not-quite-matching camp collar shirt is what they’re all going to be wearing in Spain this summer.
- Parachute – Not on sale yet, but Memorial Day Weekend is when I do a big towel refresh and replace any linen bedding that has been worn out (note: it’s honestly rare. This linen stuff is indestructible, and gets softer over time.) I’ve tried the competitors (Brooklinen, Quince) and no one compares to Parachute.

Fashion: The Best Memorial Day Sales On Clothing, Shoes & Accessories
If you’re in the mood to refresh your summer wardrobe, now’s the time. Athleta’s always a good place to start, especially for the essentials (right now they have 20% off $125, 30% off $200). Laura’s flared leggings (sooo soft), my incredibly cozy everyday fleece, and…ooo this perfectly boxy, but drapey tee. Okayyy, Athleta. This linen blend dress?? Yes.
Looking for some swim? First, J.Crew. They’ve made my fave string bikini for years (since highschool, guys). One pieces? I’m eyeing this flirty one with the cutest print. Take a peek at this coverup, too. That. back. More swim: Abercrombie has 30% off swim and shorts right now. I mean, how cute is this tile pattern? That same pattern comes in a skirt that Jess wore on her cruise, and yep, also on sale.
Anthro doesn’t have a big sale yet, but their sale section right now is fun. Tops: this pin-tuck white blouse, and look at the drape on this one. This cardigan has a nonchalant slouchiness to it that I love (for cold beach nights??). Then some pants: these for the tall gals, and these cargos with little embroidery. Took me a second to realize this was actually a jumpsuit. Last — there’s something kinda cool about these Birks (especially with the higher socks??). Ohhh, wait. Throw this dress on over your swimsuit for post-beach dinner or wear it out for some drinks at night. There’s even more, so it’s worth a scroll.
