Friday Faves : March 21, 2025
Hello and welcome to Friday Faves. Here is this week’s list of things I saw while out and about or on the www that I liked and you might like too! Let’s go!

I spent some of yesterday’s first day of spring surveying my garden through a 9-inch layer of fresh snow from the day before. It didn’t stop me from craving one of my favorite summer-style salads. I’ve had this La Scala Italian Chopped Salad recipe on the blog for probably 10 years but the idea has recently had a viral moment everybody else is just catching on to. I guess I’m just happily and healthfully ahead of the curve. The protein-rich marinated chickpeas are my fave part.
Can we change our personalities? After listening to this interview I am def ordering this book after I took this personality test. Eeek. I wonder what I’ll discover that I don’t want to know.
I’ve finally found a playlist with lyrics I can actually work to (instead of spa music ).
More advice from a therapist with tips for making friends as an adult.
I’ve heard lots of good things about Seth Rogen’s new comedy and if Catherine O’Hara is in it, you know it’s going to be great.
Here’s why Mercury in retrograde may be sending your love life on a roller coaster. Keep your hands inside the ride!
Singapore is giving away 60 round-trip flights to U.S. travelers ready to explore. It was one of our daughter’s favorite spots when she took her gap year and I want to go. I actually think I might enter.
I’m on a health kick right now, getting things in order so I can continue to enjoy a well-lived life as I move through the cycle of life. I’ve learned what a difference breathing makes in lowering blood pressure and anxiety and so I’ve incorporated Dr. Andrew Weil’s 4-7-8 breathing technique into my daily routine (2x per day.) Let’s see if it works!
I had blood tests done and discovered I’m deficient in omega-3! And here I thought I ate plenty of salmon, but apparently not enough. Did you know the best food sources of omega-3 are fatty fish like salmon, trout, mackerel, and sardines? You can also get smaller levels from flaxseeds, chia seeds, edamame, walnuts, and algae. So that’s why I decided to make it simple on myself and signed up for this monthly Alaskan fish delivery box. I’m kind of over the food box trend, but I’m looking forward to this one and having quality fish in the freezer. I’m not being paid to promote this, but it is an affiliate link where you’ll get $50 off your first box and I’ll get $50 off my next box (and then you can then tell your friends and do the same thing!)
More fish with more omega-3’s to make with my box ‘o fish:
My carrot cake with cream cheese frosting rules the roost but these carrot cake scones just might top the heap.
The high-protein cottage cheese trend is still going strong and cottage cheese pizza crust has entered the chat.
Bowls on bowls on chicken chipotle ranch bowls. Keep it coming.
These cookies could serve as a whole meal and I’m 10000% okay with that.
Brown butter makes everything better, especially these blondies.
More lemon, more better especially in this poppy seed bread.
I love creamy, dreamy deviled eggs and this deviled egg dip takes the whole concept to another level.
This truffle mushroom pasta puts weeknight eats on its head.
I mean, have you seen a prettier lemon cake? Me neither!
But wait! Lemon brownies are coming in hot!
I received samples of this new ceramic cookware line and I’m happy to announce I love them. Check them out in blue, it adds such a bright spot in the kitchen.
I went to Target and naturally ended up with more than I went in for, including:
I am also totally digging the studs on this tank top. Sassy.
Love these jeans and the jacket is so good too. I want the whole look.
Check out these very cute sandals for summer.
Loving this fun twist on the typical light summer jacket. And, everything at Madewell is 25% off during their insiders event.
Want to smell like a rich woman in a hotel lobby? Try one of these signature scents.
Would you rent this Hampton’s summer home for 1 MILLION DOLLARS A MONTH? Nbd…
They say intentional clutter is the key to an effortlessly chic home. Man, I must be beyond effortlessly chic…
If I had young kids, you can bet your bottom dollar I’d be heading to Costco to get this for summer, and in the words of Smudge when I texted her a pic of it, “Oh, I would have torn that up!” Yes, yes she would.
Nostaligia gardens are the mood booster we all need now. Let’s plant!
