Christine Centenera has only officially been at the helm of Vogue Australia since March this year and in such a short space of time she has managed to attract a bevy of top-notch talent to the cover of the title. This included everyone from Hailey Bieber to Kylie Minogue and Adut Akech to Margot Robbie. Next on the Australian fashion bible’s list of cover stars is Florence Pugh, who graces the November 2023 issue through the lens of photographer Lachlan Bailey. The latest issue of Aussie Vogue marks the British actress’ third Vogue cover appearance overall (having previously appeared on American Vogue twice) and Centenera accessorizes the occasion with a mohair Loewe jacket, a pair of triangle… Dressed in swim shorts and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

In the eyes of our forum members, one element in particular was a bit… questionable. “This [Triangl] “Grandma pants make her look really small,” criticized Oaklee91.

“The styling is so bad… ouch, ouch, ouch!” exclaimed one unforgiving ’90s fan.

“I hate the styling (especially the color of the shorts and not the shorts themselves), but Pugh looks great,” forum member WAVES commented.

Not everyone was so completely disheartened by the latest issue of Vogue Australia. “I like Florence for the first time,” Caioherrero admitted.

“I thought it was going to be terrible, but I really like it,” admitted a pleasantly surprised Kokobombon.

“It’s the fact that we have another Vogue cover shot by Lachlan Bailey that ultimately seals the deal for me. Could be Florence Pugh taking it or leaving it, but I’ll admit I quite like this whole cover/cover shoot. The colors are beautiful and Bailey photographed it so tastefully and effortlessly,” wrote vogue28.
