#1: Half Updo Bun

  • 1

Part a section of hair towards the top of your head, gather it back, and secure with a hair elastic. Optional: Clip in two stacked 1-clip wefts in this section for extra volume.

  • 2

Wrap the ponytail into a bun, loosely twisting as you go for added texture.

  • 3

Secure the bun with bobby pins.

#2: Reverse Dutch Side Braid

  • 1

Take a section of hair toward one side of your face and braid it into a reverse Dutch braid. Optional: Stack two 1-clip wefts in this section first for a fuller braid.

  • 2

Secure with a hair elastic at the end. Pull on the braid to fan it out and add volume.

#3: Dutch Side Braid Ponytail

  • 1

Using the Reverse Dutch Side Braid from above, pull the rest of your hair and the braid to one side and secure in a low ponytail.

  • 2

Pull out a few face-framing pieces for a more tousled, relaxed look.

#4: Fishtail Pigtails

  • 1

Part your hair down the middle and divide into two sections. Secure each into a low pigtail.

  • 2

Fishtail braid each pigtail and secure with an elastic.

  • 3

Fan out both braids to make them fuller and more voluminous.

#5: Three-Strand Braid Pigtails

  • 1

Part your hair down the middle and divide into two sections. Secure each into a low pigtail.

  • 2

Create a classic three-strand braid on each section and secure with an elastic.

  • 3

Fan out each braid to add fullness.

#6: Three-Strand Braid High Ponytail

  • 1

Pull your hair back into a high ponytail.

  • 2

Braid into a simple three-strand braid and secure with a hair elastic.

  • 3

Fan out the braid for more volume.

  • 4

Pull out a few face-framing pieces or baby hairs for a natural finish.

#7: Three-Strand Braid Bun

  • 1

Pull your hair back into a high ponytail.

  • 2

Braid into a simple three-strand braid.

  • 3

Instead of securing at the ends, wrap the braid into a bun and secure with an elastic.

  • 4

Use bobby pins to keep the braid from unraveling inside the bun.

  • 5

Pull out a few face-framing pieces or baby hairs for a casual look.

#8: Twist-Through Ponytail Braid

  • 1

Secure your hair in a low side ponytail.

  • 2

Add a second hair elastic about a quarter of the way down from the first.

  • 3

Create a hole through the hair between the two elastics, then pull the rest of your ponytail up through that hole and downward. Repeat further down — stop at two sections or continue all the way to the ends.

  • 4

Secure with a hair elastic at the bottom.
