21 Day Fix is back? 😲 The Skinny on “Superblocks”
I’m a huge fan of Autumn Calabrese’s 21 Day Fix programs. So when I heard about the 21 Day Fix Superblock, I was excited to learn more. This is different from the original series, so in this post I will explain what a “superblock” is and how you can take part in it.
First, what the heck is a “Bodi SuperBlock”?
Not long ago, Beachbody was renamed “BODi,” which stands for Beachbody on Demand Interactive. This coincided with the company’s shift to a more inclusive culture that doesn’t mean “having the perfect beach body.” It also refers to the change in format to pre-recorded and now live workouts.
Superblocks is a new twist on the most popular workouts the company has created, including Job1, Barre Blend, Lift More, and T25 (among others).
So going forward, BODi will be releasing a new SuperBlock every month and I’m super excited to try them out.

So these are all recreated with new moves, updated pop music, but the same amazing super trainers that we all know and love.
The other unique aspect of BODi Superblocks is the focus on periodization. This is a fancy industry term for pushing yourself for a few weeks and then resting for a week before starting again. As a personal trainer, I can attest to the effectiveness of this training approach to achieve the best results.
What is the 21 Day Fix Superblock?
The 21 Day Fix Superblock is a revised version of the 21 Day Fix program that uses the proven block periodization structure. This program features new movements and popular music, making it a completely new experience. This super block includes 5 workouts per week for 3 weeks, followed by a “UP week” to reset and recover.
What type of training can I expect?
Expect the same head-to-toe workouts in this super block. The program includes two days of cardio training and three days of strength training. There’s also an optional 5-minute Ab Fix workout that you can do twice a week for extra burn, as well as three bonus Cycle Fix workouts that you can do on cardio days or whenever you want an extra workout. can substitute.
How is the 21 Day Fix SuperBlock different?
The original 21 Day Fix workout is 4 weeks, 7 days per week, for 4 weeks. After you finished the first week, you went back and did the same workouts again every week, so there was no progress.
The 21 Day Fix Super Block Program is also a 4-week program, but it’s designed to help you see consistent progress, gain strength, and build confidence in your movement by making the workouts increasingly challenging.
When you reach week 4 (it’s called UP week, which stands for unconditional progress), you start to dial back the intensity to give your body a break and also incorporate all the gains you’ve made in strength and endurance .
Another key difference is that all workouts are now recorded to current pop music, making the whole experience even more entertaining.
What type of equipment do I need?
Like the original version, you’ll need light, medium, and heavy dumbbells. A mat is optional.
How do I know if the 21 Day Fix Superblock is right for me?
If you’ve ever trained with Autumn, you know she’ll push you – no matter your fitness level. She always brings interesting and new combinations of strength training and cardio, coupled with lots of tough love encouragement. Whether you’re just starting out or have been training for years, you’ll be challenged.
If you’re new to training in general, rest assured that she always has a modifier to show you how to make moves a little easier so you don’t feel lost or discouraged no matter your fitness level.
How does the Portionfix fit into this super block?
The portion-fix eating plan for fall didn’t help. In fact, it’s even better in BODi. There are tons of video tutorials on how she breaks down the color-coded food categories, and I’m always impressed by the great recipes you can create with little effort. Oh, and Shakeology can literally be baked or mixed into the best guilt-free desserts.
When can I access the 21 Day Fix Superblock?
The 21 Day Fix Superblock launches on April 3rd exclusively on BODi, so you must have a BODI membership. If you’re new to BODi and don’t have a membership yet, you can sign up for everything (including Shakeology) here. Otherwise, as a current member, you can only sign up for the 21-day fix superblock here.
My final thoughts
I’m excited about this new version of the 21 Day Fix in superblock format. I’ve never seen results as good as with 21 Day Fix Extreme, so I’m sure this new format won’t disappoint.
