Happy holidays, Gang! I’m thrilled to officially announce that The Mom Edit Holiday Shop is officially live – filled with the exact unique, meaningful, and unexpected gifts we’re actually giving this year (and/or hoping to get). From small-brand jewelry and cozy accessories to design-forward home pieces and clever, art-driven gifts for kids (or creative grown-ups), each item was hand-picked by our team for its beauty, usefulness, and story.

Unique & Thoughtful Holiday Gifts (Hand-Picked By Us)

We have spent months scouting small brands, local makers, and independent designers – the ones doing things a little differently. We have been interviewing and inspecting and trying-on. Every piece had to check three boxes:

  1. Beautiful enough to make us gasp.
  2. Useful enough to actually get used.
  3. Made by people and brands we’re happy to support.

The result is pure magic – this is exactly the kind of gift shop I had always hoped to find. (And if you’re part of our TME Discord Community, your monthly 15% off discount will work on our entire holiday collection!)

A Few Small Business Gifts I Love

One of our rules of this shop is that we couldn’t carry anything we weren’t absolutely thrilled to buy ourselves. So now playing favorites is hard! That said, there are a few items that have been in near-constant rotation, and a few more that are – already!! – selling out. Here’s a few immediate favs:

This is the best cashmere beanie I’ve ever worn. It looks perfect both cuffed and worn slouchy. If you struggle to find beanies that don’t look stupid on…this is the one.

My most-worn earrings are, unexpectedly, these. Discovered in Madrid this summer from a little Spanish brand, these hand-painted earrings have gone with EVERYTHING from little summer linen dresses to cozy wool sweaters. You’ll be seeing much more of these.

I don’t think I can wait for the holidays to gift my guys this hourglass timer. We’re all trying to reduce our screentime, and a physical timer is so good for timing 30-min pomodoro spurts of work (homework, art work, my actual work). And it’s GORGEOUS, too.

I’ve been searching for years for these French jacquard tea towels. I bought one at a gift shop somewhere once, and there has been no other kitchen towel like it. It’s literally the best I’ve ever used (and one of my favorite things in the kitchen, haha). Anyway, we upgraded my old one with some playful, cheeky designs – they’re soooooo much fun and would be fantastic gifts.

I was always looking for easy, open-ended art projects when the kids were little, and these Charlie Harper Sticker Books are EXACTLY what I would’ve snapped up. The perfect thing to throw into my bag for restaurant distractions, or bust out on rainy days.

Pax’s birthday is on a Tuesday this year, so my plan is to bust out some fun drinks in fancy glasses, and use a set of these party napkins to make our mid-week dinner feel festive. (A plan we’ll repeat for, uh, every birthday.)

If you’re looking for an easy, everyday hoop…these.

As always, Gang, thank you so much for the support! It’s been so gratifying seeing this whole thing come to life (and it’s made MY holiday shopping soooo much easier – I’m basically done, haha).

xo,

S
