This Winter Is All About Haircuts With Personality
Structure and intentionality seem to be the name of the game for this winter’s trending haircuts. The professionals predict we’re moving away from free-flowing, lax cuts and opting for more architectural moments. This season, expect cuts that look and feel healthy and have more personality.
“We’re going to see haircuts shift toward fuller, heavier shapes with more weight throughout. The soft, wispy layers we’ve been seeing in the past few seasons are starting to fade out. People want their hair to feel healthier and fuller, especially as the weather gets colder,” says celebrity hairstylist, Marc Ballance. He also predicts that many people who have been holding onto long hair are going to finally cut it into something more refreshed and intentional. “Not necessarily short, but fuller and more balanced, with stronger perimeters and healthier ends.”
“This winter, I’m seeing a shift toward precision with personality haircuts that feel intentional, architectural and expressive rather than driven by trends. People are craving shapes that carry weight and identity,” says Vice President of Technical Education at R+Co, Adam Federico. “This season is about texture, strong technique and silhouettes that stand for something.”
