The Inkey List Bio-Active Ceramide Repairing & Plumping Moisturiser Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] What got me thinking about over-priced face creams is the new diffusion range from Augustinus Bader (whose products did absolutely nothing for my skin) with Dua Lipa (Dua by AB Science) and why, when we’ve got some great skin care at a more budget friendly price, it’s also ranking as too expensive (between £32 and £65).  I’ve been trying The Inkey List Bio-Active Ceramide Repairing & Plumping Moisturiser on and off and really, it’s a very decent moisturiser for skin that needs a little bit of hydration oomph. It’s not shouting about it on the exterior packaging, but it’s formulated for older skin with the promise of smoother and stronger skin with 24 hour hydration. The cream is for you if you have issues with elasticity, plumpness (it also mentions loss of firmness but I’ve never seen a skin care product do anything much for firming – some things you can’t ‘cure’ with cream) and hydration.

It almost feels like a weather-proof for skin – it’s good at keeping moisture in, that’s for sure so if outdoor sport is your thing, take a look. There’s a minimal blur effect when you put it on your skin but my complexion just looked well moisturised without being oily. Inkey has put effort into clinicals with the strongest results coming in with ‘a smooth base for make up’ and ’24 hour hydration’ from 70 people. It’s far harder to be certain with ageing signs and perception surveys – in fact, on that, on the one hand, the website suggests that it’s for first signs of ageing but to be honest, if it does what it suggests it will on lines etc, that that’s going to be at any age. They’ve got in muddle there I think.

Nonetheless, the Black Friday price is £14.25 and I really cannot complain at that – for the money, it’s a very decent moisturiser – rich and velvety, that definitely provides the hydration that winter skin is looking for. You can find it HERE.
