The bridal trends of this season offer classics – with a modern turn
“Nothing feels bride than a beautiful, classic tip,” says Markarian designer Alexandra O’Neill and points to the romantic, vintage-inspired French pointed Midi dress, coordinating veil with the overarching veil and mix-and-match topper. Reem Acra, Galia Lahav and Ines di Santo also stacked their collections with exquisite clothes and convertible layers. Lace also receives the high-tech and unexpected treatment this season: levered Italian mohair yarn for an angular version of the Guipure top cladding on gossaming silk chiffon and glowing lurex capelets, while Odylyne exchanged the ceremony for a veil over a burned-out shell. And Amsale experimented with a racially connected tip to create a magnificent leaf motif on a corseted column dress with a majestic train.
