I ran across a TT video from a woman who works in the design side of fashion, reminding everyone that around the middle of October is when all the holiday pjs begin to sell out, and the reason you never see them again once its closer to the actual holidays is because rarely do retailers have time to order a restock – the last thing they want is extra stock they can’t sell after the holidays come and go.
Her point? What you see right now launching on websites is it. I learned my lesson from the past TWO years of scavenging the leftover pj sections in November that if I want cutesy matching moments or holiday pj fun, I have to shop…now. I can’t tell if this pair of pj pants has that built in boxer logo or not (it’s SO cute with it) but I’m gonna order and find out! They also brought back their viral “nap” sweatshirts for the holidays and I think that was friggen genius.

ONE: In last week’s sales report I talked about these jeans going on sale in various washes, but Saks has a brand new dark blue wash in their “25% off new arrivals” section and they’re gorgeous. Sizes already going fast – runnnn. (I take my true size to wear low rise/have more length…I’d size down one if I wanted them to sit high rise like on the models.)
TWO: My colorway is nearly sold out, but I’m two seconds away from grabbing the blue + white in this rugby polo because (1) you can’t beat the price and, more importantly, (2) it’s SO SOFT, like almost vintage-feeling soft, and I keep grabbing it from the laundry pile to rewear.

Some good news this week: the leaves are finally starting to change here, the first gene therapy for a deadly form of muscular dystrophy has received preliminary FDA approval for use in young children, and the pumpkin spice hostess cupcakes are like, wildly delicious (I succumbed in a moment of weakness in the checkout line and have zero regrets).

It’s chilly here this morning…not just cool but crisp. I am here for it. This is my season. I was born a winter babe, but fall has my heart. Everybody making it through eclipse season ok? Whew. Lol. It’s a lot, but it’s been game-changing over here for breaking old thinking patterns and moving ahead without old insecurities. I hope there have been some good shifts for y’all, too. I don’t pretend to know a ton about it, but I know what I’ve felt and moved past and it’s super healing. Onward and upward, dear friends.
And for sales this weekend…these Gazelle bolds on sale for everyone, but if you’re–a Timbers fan (hey-o) or a Ducks fan or a U of Miami fan or a Packers fan–you might especially want these. Ooh this corduroy skirt at Gap Factory, yes please, want…but in leopard (it’s subtle) or oxblood? Hmm. It’s cheap enough both might be a consideration. Also, these waffle towels with great reviews are on their way to me. The towels I had were not absorbent at all even though they’re super cute. It was time for new. And on sale is the best!
ONE: This Faherty sweater is my very favorite and has been for a couple of years. It’s on sale in the same cut with just a slightly different stripe pattern, still in navy and ivory. It’s the perfect sweater ever and I don’t say that lightly. It’s a linen cotton blend, just drapey enough but doesn’t get all stretched out. TTS for a loose fit. Wearing a M. Jeans (29) | Clogs
TWO: These Levi’s XL Baggy Straight jeans are a new favorite and are 30% off right now. They fit me so well, at the waist, butt, hips and have that baggy look I’m wanting right now. They’re also the perfect length to puddle just a bit with my sneakers with a little bit of platform. I’m in love. I sized up because non-stretch, but they are a joy to put on and I feel so great in them.

Yesterday, I saw the biggest spider I’ve EVER seen inside a house. Unfortunately, it was my house. At first, I didn’t scream (small wins), but I did tell Andy he needed to come take care of it immediately. It was so big I honestly thought it was a stain from the kids’ juice or maybe…a sock. He looks at it and goes, “Ah, it’s not that big,” then grabs a KLEENEX—at which point the thing started RUNNING and, yes, that’s when I screamed. After he finally got it (thank god it didn’t escape to parts unknown), I was like, “Babe, please tell me that was, in fact, a HUGE spider. Validate me here.” He paused, then said, “Ok. That was a big f%$ing spider.” The exterminators come in October. Not soon enough.

ONE: The jeans (aka my favorites of all time), boots, bag, and jacket I’m wearing are all part of Saks’ Friends & Family sale! The crop trench from Cami NYC is so good, and the Staud boots and bag are the perfect fall pairing. LOVE.
TWO: The Vince boiled cashmere sweater our whole team loves is also part of Saks’ sale—over $100 off, in multiple colors, and I can’t overstate how insanely soft and cozy it is. The PAIGE jeans I’m wearing are also included in Saks’ sale, but they’re also 25% off (sitewide!) on PAIGE’s own site, where they’re available in two inseams (and multiple washes–sale price reflected in bag).

The weather here is freaking spectacular right now, pumpkin patches are in full swing (I shared a bit about our faves on stories, but feel free to DM me if you’re headed to the coast and need some pointers), and we’ve got apple picking on the docket this weekend. So yeah. Peak fall things are happening and it’s been the most blissful distraction from life. Add to that a feed full of Dawson’s Creek reunion videos and I’m a happy, happy girl. ONE: Ooooh, love it when something I adore gets bumped to Nordstrom Rack and restocked at a lower price, and that’s exactly the case with this dress. I wore this dress all summer long for treks up to the mountains, on stroller walks to breweries, over shorts at the pool – and now I can’t wait to layer it with a sweater and boots for fall. Best of all, now it’s just $66. The fit is super customizable with a functional tie at the bust, real buttons and adjustable tie straps in the back. Pockets, too! It’s perfection. Wearing a small, but since it’s so forgiving I could have done an XS, as well.
TWO: The exact vibe I want to channel this fall (albeit with a bit less tummy showing). Every single piece is just so good, but that little cropped jacket and the suede pocket not-too-wide-leg jeans make it.
