Dansko Love: My Top Clog Sandal Picks
Danskos have been a favorite comfort shoe in my closet for years. Their attention to detail—arch support, cushioning, well-engineered footbeds—is seriously good. Dansko style, though, has historically been a little hit-or-miss.
This year? They’re on fire. I already shared my favorite flat & low-heel, travel-friendly Dansko styles, but the higher-heeled Dansko clog sandals are next level, too…and these clog styles are so.much.fun!

Fit Notes Before We Get Started: I have wide-ish feet. Not wide enough that I require wide sizing in sandals, but I definitely have a fuller foot and Danskos (and Birkenstocks) tend to fit my feet very well. So…if you have very thin or narrow feet keep that in mind with my sizing and fit notes.

My Take: Fabulous! Cool vintage-y vibe, super comfortable, and walkable despite the height. Some reviewers prefer a true buckle and hate the velcro, but I personally like it (especially b/c it’s hidden well and makes for easy off and on).

2. Dansko Alanna Clog Sandal

My Take: My personal favorite of all the sandals I tried. Love everything about these from the rivet detailing to the handcrafted Brazilian wood heel to the memory-foam cushioned footbed. So good! True buckle (no velcro), but I was still able to get them off and on without unbuckling (there’s a bit of elastic hidden in the strap). Makes me TALL but walkable b/c of platform (not too much incline for my foot).

3. Dansko Tamra Clog Sandal

My Take: Another great classic vintage-y clog sandal option. I personally like the style of the Dansko Tatiana better (if I’m forced to choose), but if you like simpler lines and a peep toe, the Tamra style is great. Some reviews found the peep-toe uncomfortable, but my feet were happy with the wiggle-room and fit. Velcro hidden under the buckle (which I love for easy off and on) and they do a good job of REALLY hiding it.

My Take: Designer No. 6 clog vibes, but with a cushioned footbed, shock-absorbing sole, and Dansko comfort features. These unfortunately didn’t work for my foot (they were too narrow in the footbed and too short in my typical size 37), but I’m still impressed with this Dansko design, and I’m considering trying the next size up. True buckle (no velcro), but I could still get them off and on without undoing.

My Take: Wow! These are beauties and incredibly stylish! Definitely giving designer vibes. Same supportive and cushioned footbed as the Alannas with similar gorgeous detailing. My feet DO prefer the added security of the straps on the Dansko Alannas, but these are gorgeous and still walkable.
