Super Bowl Outfit Showdown: Eagles vs. Chiefs

2

Welcome to the 2025 Hunger Games I mean Super Bowl!! The Mom Edit is based in Philadelphia, so you can bet we’re pretty darn excited to cheer on our Birds. Unless your name is Amy. Or Laura. They…they are Chiefs fans.

Moment of silence.

So! As a form of distraction from all [she waves her hand around, wildly gesturing everywhere] of this, we, the Philly team – well, mainly Jeni and I – challenged Amy & Laura to a little Super Bowl style showdown: 4 Quarters. 4 Outfits.

May the best team win.

1st Quarter Outfit: GAME ON.

Not gonna lie, Amy came out strong right off the snap with, “Gameday freckles inspired by Queen Taylor herself.”

Thing is, Amy—Taylor was an Eagles fan first. So yeah, we can do freckles too. But we’re Philly, so I just drew ’em on.

I’m feeling good in broken-in jeans and the ‘Philly Legend’ sweatshirt I stole from Philly Legend himself, Al B Damn (you know you’re never getting this back, buddy).

Now Laura’s outfit is a trick play in motion—standard game-day hoodie up top, but then she shakes the defense with those leopard-print pants. Oooo…so unexpected! But is she unstoppable??

Except here comes Jeni—cool, collected, and completely unfazed. Eagles jersey? Casually tucked. Black pleated trousers? Effortlessly sharp. Baseball hat and waterproof boots? Ready for anything. No tricks, no flash—just solid fundamentals.

At the end of the quarter, it’s too close to call…but rest assured, this game is just getting started.

2nd Quarter Outfit: Here For The Snacks

Laura takes the field for the second quarter with a fresh play: a knotted Chiefs tee and ivory barrel jeans—classic with a twist. Her oversized denim shacket? A solid defensive layer, while her Uggs give nothing but home-field advantage.

Jeni answers back with a bold counterplay—swapping cozy layers for sheer tights, tall boots, and the kind of confidence that can’t be coached. Her Eagles-inspired greens? A masterclass in team spirit without the obvious logos. This isn’t just a game-day look… it’s a power move.

Amy saw Jeni’s play and ran with it—her way. No logos, no gimmicks—just an easy red hoodie, effortless black pants (I spy Athleta?), but with pointy-toe boots that add an edge. Or, as Amy put it: ‘Everyday uniform, but make it Chiefs colors.’

And then there’s me—coming in casual with loose denim and an Eagles hoodie, then calling an audible with pointy-toe boots and a refined wool bomber (Sezane for the win). A little unexpected, but that’s the beauty of a well-executed trick play. Defense wasn’t ready for this one.

3rd Quarter Outfit: Gettin’ Serious

Amy starts the third quarter in what should be a standard game-day uniform—Chiefs sweatshirt, leggings, sneakers—but somehow, hers hits different. The secret? A perfectly executed color-coordination strategy: the red beanie, the socks, even her sneakers play along. Effortless, but intentional.

leggings | sweatshirt | beanie | socks | shoes

Too bad she’s too nervous to enjoy her own genius. Clutching a drink, eyes darting to the screen, she mutters, ‘I can’t watch, I’m going for more beer.’ Classic move. But will the Chiefs recover…or is Amy just avoiding the inevitable? 😉

Now, while Amy spirals into a stress-induced beer run, Jeni, in her ‘BIRD GANG’ hoodie and ‘NOBODY LIKES US’ beanie is…unbothered.

Leggings | Bird Gang Hoodie | No One Like Us Beanie | Similar Slippers

Nervous? Please. Jeni’s just here to watch the Eagles do what they do best. The question is… will they?

Meanwhile, Laura has officially entered survival mode. Chiefs hoodie? On. Cropped sweatpants? Cozy. The cutest Mou boots? Well, at least she’s going down in style.

But the real highlight? That beanie, aggressively pulled down over her eyes. Laura literally can’t watch. Whether it’s strategy or sheer self-preservation, one thing’s for sure—this quarter is testing her.

And then there’s me—settled in, steady, and fingers crossed. The beanie’s on, the energy’s solid. No panic, no stress—just holding onto hope the way Philly fans do best.

4th Quarter: For The Win!!

Laura shows up ready—fully embracing a victory energy with a sporty tee + sparkly pants combo that says, ‘Champagne’s already on ice.’ She adjusts her beanie, smirks, and casually declares, ‘Off to party with Tay Tay.’ Confidence? Through the roof. Premature? Guess we’ll see.

Tee | Similar Necklace | Similar Pants | Boots | Similar Bag | Beanie

For my final play, I’m dressed for the after-party but still repping Philly where it counts. Because no matter how fancy the celebration….GO BIRDS!

Amy steps into the final quarter like she already knows how this story ends: sporty red tee, mini skirt (no wait – skort), tall boots, and an oversized blazer draped *just so*.

jersey | skort | boots

And because no victory lap is complete without a little extra star power, she’s left a trail in her wake. ‘Ditch the clowns, get the crown / Baby, I’m the one to beat,’ she quips. Bold words, Amy. Championship energy. But is the win actually locked in?

Time to check in with Jeni… who, judging by her outfit, already has the parade route mapped.

 Overalls | Jacket | Hat | Gloves | Boots | Sim Sunglasses

Jeni just ran the ultimate final play by showing up in an absolute masterpiece!! This is the kind of outfit you wear to march to City Hall after the win. Our girl is READY for the celebrations, for the chaos! And, perhaps, for climbing a greased pole?

Philly, she understood the assignment.

Oh, and so did Maple.

Pet Bandana

And with that, the final whistle blows on our Super Bowl style showdown. Four quarters, four outfits each, and a whole lot of team spirit. Some played it cool, some went all in, and someone may or may not be scaling a pole as we speak.

But, in the end – just like the game itself – only time will tell who truly comes out on top.

Until then, good game, good vibes, and as always…GO BIRDS. 😉

xo,

S
