It’s time for our Spring wedding guest edit! Right now, I’m thinking of my dresses as a blank canvas. That’s why you will see mostly solids in this round-up. I love the idea of a solid-color dress, paired with a complementary color (say this Mango dress with these yellow mules OR the chartreuse bag) with lots of great jewelry. Or, letting one accessory shine (by pairing this dress and these minimal sandals with a crazy bag like this fish clutch). The dress is the canvas!

I do need to point out a few affordable gems. These $150 strappy sandals feel very The Row coded and will literally go with anything you pair them with. This sunset-hued pair is a little more specific but so pretty (and only $130!). And if you are more of a platform girly (better for height + dancing!), check out these platforms. They are a great price and remind me a lot of my Nomasei platforms. And while not inexpensive, this DVF dress just went on sale and is one of those dresses you can style a million ways and wear for years to come. Also, this Mango dress — under $200 and such a cool color and cut.
Banana Republic is running its friends-and-family sale through 3/22. BR always has sneaky good wedding guest dresses. This one (in the pink floral grid) stopped me in my tracks. It’s stunning, and priced at $200 (before the discount). Also worth noting: this flutter-sleeve maxi and this satin trapeze dress.
