Sabrina Carpenter & ASAP Rocky Top Lollapalooza Day 4 as Rising Stars Shine on the BMI Stage
Lollapalooza may have just saved the best for last when it came to the headliners for the fourth and final day of the festival which took place in Chicago’s Grant Park on July 31 – Aug. 3. Both the T-Mobile Stage and the Bud Light Stage hosted massive superstars to close out the festivities, in the form of Sabrina Carpenter on the south end of the grounds and ASAP Rocky, who kicked-off his set by performing in the air in a helicopter, up north.

“Busy Woman,” “Taste,” and “Good Graces” appeared early in Carpenter’s set during which she expressed gratitude for being back at Lollapalooza.
“I feel so grateful and so honored to be here tonight. Thank you so much for having us back, Lollapalooza. How you doin’? I just have to say, [with] the artists that have been on these stages the last few days, I feel so grateful and so lucky and so honored to be able to play on these stages that they’ve played on. Make some noise for all the amazing artists from this weekend. You know I’m gonna sing a lot more songs, because that’s what I do. You guys gonna sing ’em or what,” she asked before going into “Slim Pickins.”
“Manchild,” “Espresso” and a pair of songs – “Let’s Groove” and “September” – performed with surprise guests Earth, Wind & Fire were among the highlights of her festival-closing extravaganza.

Throughout the day, the tree-filled area in front of the BMI Stage offered a cozy setting for fans to check out a variety of rising stars. Lekan – a contemporary R&B and Soul singer – shared songs from his forthcoming EP, For All the Right Reasons, TikTok star Aliyah’s Interlude performed to a massive crowd, and singer-songwriter Sofia Camara offered a storytellers-like concert that fit nicely into the stage’s vibe.
“We’re under the trees. It’s like the most perfect thing ever. Thank you guys so much for coming,” said Camara. “My name is Sofia Camara and I’m really excited to be here. This is just like a dream come true. So thank you so much for giving your time to us right now and enjoying some music together.”
Before playing “Starlight,” Camara shared a touching tribute to a friend who inspired the song,” saying, “I want you guys to think about somebody that you love, someone that maybe is not here right now in a different country, maybe not here with us, a best friend, a lover, someone that you think about, that you love, even if that’s the person next to you. When I wrote this song, I had lost my best friend, and I had just hoped for the day that the stars would align, and we’d meet again, and everything would be fine, and all the pain that was caused, and everything that happened, I’d wake up from this horrible dream. So, I hope in this song you just internalize that. And I hope you guys love this song.”

Previously in the week, it was announced that Wunderhorse would no longer be able to play Lollapalooza due to illness so the fest tapped hometown heroes Post Animal to fill in last minute. The Chicago rockers wished Wunderhorse well and shouted out Djo – who they previously joined at an aftershow at The Salt Shed – and shared songs like “Caving In ,” “Setting Sun” and “Gelatin Mode.”
Throughout the early-afternoon set on the Tito’s Stage, Post Animal thanked fans and made everyone feel right at home even welcoming them into their inner-sanctuary.
“For the next three and a half minutes, you’re in the barn behind Dalton’s childhood house,” said drummer Wesley Toledo before counting-off “Pie in the Sky.”
La Femme, flowerovlove, Mariah The Scientist, and Katseye – who put on a “Gnarly” set – were also among the incredible Day Four artists.
