Our Favorite Jeans for Fall from Social Threads
First up, Jess and I happened to choose the same Risen jeans to try (so you know they’re promising). It’s always helpful to be able to side-by-side this kind of thing since we have a team with varied heights, sizes and styles. It’s fun for us and I hope, as I mentioned, helpful for y’all!

We both loved a boyfriend fit jean and a high rise cuffed jean to check out. If you haven’t tried Risen jeans before their fabric is SO soft and stretchy but has great structure and they just always feel so good on. You have probably witnessed a bit of my jeans journey around here, but to sum it up I have love/hated them for a while. I always love the look of jeans, but jeans and I have been at odds over the past couple of years as I’ve entered perimenopause. Well, Risen jeans are the exception here and I forgot just how dang comfy they truly are!

1. Risen Phoebe High Rise Crop Cuffed Jeans

Sizing Notes & Details from Laura: True to size, IMO. I adore this pair of jeans. They have a nice high rise and the cuffed look I am definitely into this year. I was glad I stuck with my regular size on this pair because of the higher rise and my straighter waist. They don’t squeeze but they fit well. SO freaking soft and cute. I will wear these a ton. I’m 5’4″ and typically a 29 in jeans. I have a straighter-ish waist and a bit of a shorter torso.

Sizing Notes & Details from Jess: So, this is my first time trying one of the TME team’s favorite affordable denim brands: Risen and I am impressed. I could NOT get over how soft and comfy these jeans are…basically as comfortable as my sweats or leggings and that’s no joke. I think I am used to wearing more rigid denim so these were such a pleasant change of pace! I’ve been wearing these all day without any issues with bagginess or stretching out. They ran a tad large on me. As a reminder, I’m 5’7″ and typically a size 27 in jeans.

Sizing Notes & Details From Jess: I have been really leaning into boyfriend and straight leg jeans lately so these are a perfect pair of jeans for me for the upcoming fall season. I like the distressed detailing and again the fabric is SO SOFT and comfortable – stretchy without any unsightly bagginess. These definitely ran large on me, I would size down one size.

Sizing Notes & Details From Laura: These run big. The 29 here are so comfy and sit low on my waist for an easy weekend style jean. I could have sized down to a 28 though. The denim on these is SO soft and a cute blue faded wash. I had to cuff these a few times to get them to hit at the ankle like I wanted, so they’ll be good for taller peeps or also if I decide to wear them with heels or boots later.
Cute Fall Tops From Social Threads

Jess chose a couple of super cute blouses and I picked a cardigan and a denim shirt (no surprise there lol.) They always have such a cute curated selection on their site with a mix of both femme and sporty pieces, so we all find something we like.

Sizing Notes & Details: Okay, wow! I am so impressed with this top. The ‘olive’ color is the perfect rich shade for fall and I am a big fan of the cute vintage-inspired paisley floral print. The covered buttons also add to the high-quality vibe of this top. I felt that the puff-sleeve elastic was a little tight but overall not bothersome. I would say this top runs TTS, if you are in between sizes, I would order a size up.

Fabric: 55% Cotton 45% Acrylic
Sizing Notes & Details: True to size. I haven’t worn many cardigans over the past few years but I am stoked about this one. I love the varsity vibes so much and the colors pair so beautifully with the blue jeans, my blue sneakers and my green hat I love. The weight on this is perfect for late summer early fall. I was worried it would be heavy, but it’s perfect and light without feeling thin.

Fabric: Self: 53% Rayon 32% Polyester 15% Nylon | Contrast: 100% Cotton
Sizing Notes & Details: Another high quality, total stunner of a top from Social Threads. The fabric is a soft, yet medium to heavy weight knit fabric. It is a gorgeous shade of chocolate brown which will also be perfect for fall. I am super impressed with the details of this top, especially the fat lace strap and the pretty knit pattern. I was worried the lace wouldn’t lay flat, but it totally does and is not scratchy in the slightest! Score!
4 | By Together Denim Button Up Top
Shirt (M) | Jeans (29) | Similar Heels | Similar Bag
Fabric: 100% Cotton
Sizing Notes & Details: This denim shirt is a fabulous denim shirt and I have tried many. I love that it’s slightly oversized without being too huge. The wash is pretty dang perfect, too. It’s also substantial but not heavy and 100% cotton is always my favorite for denim tops.
