While I wouldn’t necessarily describe my personal style as preppy, preppy is definitely in my DNA. I grew up on Cape Cod, the land of boat and totes, cable knits, and faded polo shirts, after all!
That said, I’ve found myself really drawn to preppier pieces this season. Swapping out a designer bag for a simple canvas tote. Layering on a rugby shirt or preppy polo under a blazer or with a pair of long shorts. Silky scarves. Boat shoes (there are so many great pairs of boat shoes and moccasins right now!). I like to combine something preppy with something more feminine or classic to keep the look from going full on prep. Here is a little round-up of current favorites!
