Paul Yacomine D’Or Blond Light Toner & Repair Serum Review
It’s not often I’m so curious about hair products but another Paul Yacomine Hair Serum came my way and again, I’m super impressed. When I say ‘it came my way’, I cheekily asked for it because I wanted something that I knew would be suited to my hair in a way that the Volumising Serum was not. While I could appreciate how well it worked, I don’t chase volume. This time, it’s D’Or Blond Light Toner & Repair Serum which is next level magic to soften the hair. I could not believe how soft my hair felt after I’d dried it. The toning element is useful (and cumulative) and will be even more useful when I get the super-blonde highlights toned down for winter. It was something of an accident that I ended up with quite such bright blonde hair – my lovely hairdresser asked me if I wanted my hair brighter and I said yes because I thought she meant the existing highlights but she meant more highlights. So here we are. I’ve run with it because it doesn’t matter and secretly really love the regrowth line – it looks careless in a good way.

There’s a lot to this little bottle of serum – amaranthus seed (hair friendly peptides), Baobab Protein (amino acid rich for repair and shine), Quinoa protein (allows hair to absorb colour) and Rhodiola rosea root to reduce frizz. There is no silicone but instead a silicone alternative which definitely works. As we all know, the lighter the hair, the harder it is to get a shine on it (less pigment for light to hit) but I actually had shine after I’d (early morning) washed and dried my hair. You only need 3-4 drops per wash so 50ml is going to last for quite some time.

The one thing – the only thing I’d change is, despite the gorgeous packaging, the instructions on the bottle are hard to read. Although I’m unlikely to forget how many drops to use, I might – I could – and anyway, I quite like to peruse the ingredient lists. Paul Yacomine D’Or Blond Toner & Repair Serum is £36 HERE and I’d recommend for lighter toned hair that feels dry or coarse.
