Pantone Color of the Year 2025: Mocha Mousse Jewels to Shop Now

3

If Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2025 is an indicator of anything, it’s that we’re craving comfort. Over the past few years, we’ve gone from Viva Magenta to Peach Fuzz and now, Mocha Mousse—a creamy, indulgent brown that radiates a sense of security and warmth.

“It nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort,” the Pantone Color Institute website says about Mocha Mousse.

The color (Pantone 17-1230) incorporates hints of cacao, chocolate, and coffee, appealing to our senses and desire for everyday pleasures. It’s the perfect combination of sophistication and indulgence, while remaining unpretentious and approachable.

This shade of brown isn’t particularly new to the world of ready-to-wear or even interiors. In ready-to-wear, monochromatic neutral clothing has been trending for some time now, with warm hues of browns reflecting this desire for comfort and connection. Similarly, in interiors, a demand for natural materials (woods and stones) and richness in color palette (grounding more vibrant colors) has incorporated Mocha Mousse shades.

But how does Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year translate to jewels? Think smoky quartz stones, diamonds of varying brown tones, agate with its dimensional layers, and more. Below, we’ve rounded up a few of our current favorites that are just as delicious as the color itself.
