For as long as I can remember, Gap and Old Navy have been two of the most steadfast destinations for trendy, affordable and functional clothing, offering shoppers with day-to-day staples that help them look and feel their best without breaking the bank. When you think of Gap and Old Navy, though, your brain typically doesn’t think beauty and cosmetics, but that’s about to change. This week, Gap’s CEO announced a major expansion for the company, marking its entrance into the bustling beauty space.

Gap Marks New Chapter With Announcement of Beauty Lines

While Gap and Old Navy are not the first destinations we think of when we’re in need of a beauty refresh, Gap CEO Richard Dickson is determined to change that tune. This week, Dickson made the exciting announcement that both Gap and Old Navy stores will be leaning into beauty, cosmetics and accessories in a much more substantial way starting this fall. The Wall Street Journal reported that Gap stores will debut a fragrance line next year and Old Navy stores will begin carrying new beauty products in the coming months, and the assortment of brands to be featured already has beauty lovers talking.

In addition to beauty products from the Old Navy franchise, the company’s expansion into beauty will also see shelves stocked with skin care, makeup and hair-care products from iconic beauty brands like E.l.f. Beauty and Mario Badescu, in addition to an assortment of Korean beauty brands, WSJ reports. Keeping with the brand’s accessible, affordable identity, the beauty products hitting Old Navy and Gap stores are said to remain under $25, making budget-friendly beauty shopping an integral part of your in-store Gap experience.
