Big Stage: The Milbon Monochromatic Launch Event with Special Guest Anh Co Tran

Wabi Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic concept that celebrates the beauty of imperfection. Under this motto and in combination with art, violins, and drums, a high-profile event with around 300 guests took place on March 29th at the Nachtresidenz in Düsseldorf. Special Guest: Anh Co Tran, Global Creative Director of Milbon. Known for his avant-garde haircuts, he presented the new Monochromatic styling series live on stage on three different models.

The Japanese Wabi Sabi philosophy finds beauty in imperfection, in the imperfections of nature. Inspired by this aesthetic concept, which has been rooted in Japanese culture for centuries, Anh Co Tran created the new Monochromatic styling line with Milbon.

After the welcome and flying buffet, the community enjoyed a show full of artistic moments in the domed hall – including Japanese drummers, two violinists, a captivating aerial acrobatics performance, and of course, the main act: the presentation of the new Monochromatic line in an inspiring hair show with Anh Co Tran. Afterwards, the after-show party, “Sweet Heaven,” was a celebration. A perfect symbiosis of art, music, and Japanese aesthetics.

The Milbon brand stands for hair care products exclusively for hair salons. Currently, 40,000 salons worldwide work with the Japanese hair brand, which is the market leader in its home country. Milbon has also been available in Germany since 2017. Research is conducted in the laboratories in Osaka to develop innovative products using the latest technologies. CT scanning is even used for this purpose. Milbon researchers collected women’s hair from 20 countries to analyze the inner hair structure. The 3D analysis using the Japanese synchrotron irradiation facility opened up astonishing, never-before-seen perspectives on the damaged hair.
