I love a Margot Robbie press run. Obviously Barbie and the clever red carpet homages to the world’s most famous doll is the standout example, but Robbie has a knack for looking simple yet impactful no matter which film she’s promoting. Case in point: her gorgeous updo from the A Big Bold Beautiful Journey premiere in London, crafted with a circular shape that looks good enough to eat.
For the premiere, Robbie paired a sheer, crystalline Armani Privé gown with a soft, romantic updo that spotlighted the dramatic jeweled gown. Her dark blonde hair was wrapped and pinned in a layered, circular shape reminiscent of French pastries like the suprême croissant, a.k.a. the round version of the classic croissant. It’s so pretty, you really need the full 360-degree view to appreciate all the little details—like the soft strands wrapped around the base and left unpinned to create a delicately fluid movement, or the intricate layers of hair placed atop each other.
