Layer Lightly: The Sheer Styles to Wear Now
I remember last year when sheers were announced as one of the big trends, and Carly and I did our trend recap. Carly was so gung-ho, but I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. A blouse, sure . . . but on the bottom? Not so much. I liked the look on other people but thought, “maybe we just leave this one to the kids.” I didn’t think much more about it until this year, when I saw this Cami skirt and changed my mind. I’m not sure if you’re the same, but sometimes when a new trend emerges, I need a season or two to get accustomed to it. And then suddenly it will click for me and make more sense. That’s what happened here.
I really like that this skirt is made from two layers of lace, so it’s sheer, but not completely see-through. It’s so easy to wear and it looks perfect with a waistcoat layered on top. Below are even more sheer pieces I’m loving right now. I’m planning to wear this dress to an upcoming fundraiser and can’t stop thinking about this lace blouse, which also happens to be a very nice price!
