LA-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and filmmaker Holly Blair returns with new single ‘While I Have You Here’.
‘While I Have You Here’ explores the emotional terrain of long distance relationships. This cinematic track is the first look into Holly Blair’s upcoming debut album, out later this year.
“I wanted to explore the complexity of love that doesn’t follow a clear blueprint — the kind that loops back on itself, that’s messy, magnetic, and sometimes hard to define. I wrote this song about connection and desire, about longing for someone even when you’re worlds apart — physically, emotionally, or both. I wrote it for a girl full of contradictions, tenderness, and infinite flaws that somehow draw you in instead of pushing you away. A girl that held my heart in ways I couldn’t understand, but always returned to.
These new songs are roadtrip songs – meant to be played driving through canyons, past rivers, and small towns. I wanted something intimate and expansive, to create something between romanticized memory and but still grounded in truth. It holds space for both the beauty and contradictions of growing up in America — especially in a time when national identity is being contested.”
