Henri Noël’s Bamboo Bezel Blends Past and Future

Heirloom jewelry comes in any number of different motifs, but one in particular, effortlessly luxurious bamboo, inspired the newest collection from Naples, Fla.–based brand Henri Noël.

Designed in collaboration with fashion personalities Alexandra and Rebecca Sisto, the Bamboo Bezel collection draws on Florida roots—shared by the brand and the sisters—channeling a crisp, coastal sensibility with a hint of vintage charm.

“This collection started with something very personal,” Henri Noël founder Vivian Grimes tells JCK. “A member of our team has a bamboo ring her grandmother has always worn. The motif has a strong connection to coastal culture, which is something we’ve always been surrounded by. It carries so much character, and that really became our jumping-off point.”

That sense of history carries through Bamboo Bezel, which feels like a collection put together over time through inheritance and maybe treasure hunting in vintage stores. Made of 14k yellow gold and featuring diamonds and pink and blue sapphires, the jewels were made to be worn—as much as possible.

“Our clients don’t take their jewelry on and off, they live in it,” Grimes says. “So we think about comfort, durability, and how a piece moves with you throughout the day. Even something that feels nostalgic still has to fit seamlessly into a modern life.”

There’s a natural alignment with the brand’s heritage—Grimes’ grandfather opened his first Naples store in 1981—and with its generational perspective, to create new pieces that already feel like heirlooms. “We’re used to restoring meaningful jewelry,” she says. “This is the opposite: designing pieces that feel like they’ve always belonged to you.”

While every Bamboo Bezel jewel is a standout, each blends seamlessly with the rest of the collection, to give wearers the option of mixing and matching—though they look as great solo as stacked. “We design everything to feel complete on its own first,” says Grimes. “Each piece has enough presence and detail to stand alone as a statement. That’s important to us because not every client is looking to layer right away.

“The collection builds on classic jewelry silhouettes, making it feel familiar and effortless from the start,” she says. “We introduced subtle pops of color, especially through our silk cords and sapphires, to bring a sense of lightness and ease, reminiscent of Florida living.

“At the same time,” Grimes adds, “we think about how people actually wear jewelry today. Most of our clients are layering pieces they’ve collected over time. The bamboo texture adds a special layer to that stack, it brings in character and dimension without feeling overly matched.

“We also designed several pieces to interact naturally with what someone already owns. The barrels slide onto silk cords or existing chains, the rings sit easily alongside other bands, and the earrings build into an earscape. It’s meant to integrate, not overpower.”

Bamboo has appeared in luxury design for decades—from mid-century Italian fashion to bold ’90s jewelry—yet Henri Noël’s take feels refined and modern. “We’re not trying to re-create the past—we’re creating pieces that will become someone’s heirloom in the future,”  Grimes says.

“Bamboo has always been a classic motif, but we approached it through a more refined, modern lens. The lines are cleaner, the scale is more intentional, and the way it’s integrated into each piece feels subtle and wearable.

“Growing up in South Florida, it’s something we’ve always been surrounded by. You see bamboo details everywhere—in interiors, in homes, in the environments people grew up in. It immediately evokes a feeling. We’ve had customers come into the store and say it reminds them of their mother’s home and personal style. It’s more than a trend; it’s cultural and emotional.”

For retailers looking to get the new line in front of their customers, Grimes suggests starting with the barrel pendants. “They can be worn on silk cords or added onto chains a client already owns, so they naturally lend themselves to personalization. They also introduce color and that mix of materials in a way that feels fresh, and they’re an easy entry point for someone new to the collection.

“The signet ring is another strong anchor,” Grimes says. “It’s a classic silhouette that clients already understand, but the bamboo detailing gives it a distinct point of view. It tends to resonate across a wide range of customers, whether they’re buying for themselves or as a gift.”
