Hailey Bieber Takes to the Cover of WSJ. Magazine as ‘Beauty Innovator’ of the Year

The covers of WSJ Magazine simply do not command the attention they once did around here. Since 2023, Sarah Ball (who succeeded the long-serving Kristina O’Neill) has been installed as the publication’s editor-in-chief. Throughout 2025, we’ve only fawned over an Ayo Edebiri cover back in June and more recently a “flawless” Sydney Sweeney offering. Up next on the cover of WSJ Magazine is Hailey Bieber. The publication crowned the American model, socialite, and Rhode founder as “Beauty Innovator” of 2025.. In the cover shot, the muse of Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello dons Tom Ford via the lens of the photographer Marili Andre.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“How is she a beauty innovator?” immediately asked mikel.

“Nowadays, a moneymaker somehow translates to innovator,” forum member zoom replied.

“Hahaha, omg… these people…” laughed Xone.

Ah ah commented: “Hailey Bieber could invest part of that 1 billion from selling Rhode into an intensive posing course, so we could finally see a decent photo of her someday!”

“Never minded the sight of Hailey Bieber. However, WSJ Magazine lost its spark the moment Kristina O’Neill left, and this just ain’t it. I dislike the concept of the shoot, the building blocks, and the fact that she’s not engaging with us readers; the list goes on,” vogue28 ranted.
