Gwyneth Paltrow’s Glam at ‘Marty Supreme’ NYC Premiere

Everyone is talking about Marty Supreme right now. The highly anticipated movie, set to hit theaters on Christmas Day, stars Timothée Chalamet as ping-pong champion Marty Reisman, alongside Gwyneth Paltrow as his love interest—her first movie gig in years. Tonight, the stars gathered in New York City to celebrate the premiere, and Paltrow, 53, stunned in a black velvet gown and gorgeous glam (the red lip by makeup artist Samantha Lau is really doing its thing!). She also walked the carpet with her her children Apple (21) and Moses (19).

The actress’s signature blonde strands were styled by celebrity hairstylist Owen Gould, whose other clients include Julianne Moore, Rachel Brosnahan, Suki Waterhouse and more. Gould prepped her hair with NULASTIN’s hair and scalp collection. “I love to prep the hair with NULASTIN Vibrant Scalp Shampoo and Conditioner. If there’s time for the Vibrant Scalp Scrub, my clients love that, too. The NuProtect Leave-In Primer preps the hair for the finished style. Gwyneth’s hair is naturally curly. It’s also color-treated, so it’s important to use a product that protects and also leaves the hair moisturized. NULASTIN was perfect for this because together, the shampoo, conditioner and primer help repair hair texture, which is proven after even just one wash.” This system is also great for those with thinning hair, as it uses the brand’s proprietary Elastaplex technology to help reduce visible shedding while also reducing frizz and breakage.

As far as the style, Gould says he wanted something elegant and effortless to complement Paltrow’s gorgeous black gown. “The back has a beautiful see through detail we wanted to show off. A loose braid always feels slightly elevated to me.” We also love the face-framing pieces in the front. “With the NuProtect Primer, I knew we would get great shine and smoothness for the style,” the stylist adds, noting that this style was a nice diversion from the actress’s go-to of wearing her hair down. This was also the case at last week’s LA premiere, for which Paltrow wore a low bun with her black dress.
