DoSe Vitamin C Eye Cream Review
[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Yes, I’m one of those eye cream cynics who think that your general cream will do just as well for your eye area and you don’t need anything special. But, left, right and centre I’m watching anti-eye creamers being converted by the DoSe Vitamin C Eye Cream and that’s really quite something. I had a terrible experience with eye cream using Dr Perricone (years ago) and my eyes swelled up like golf balls. The PR at the time blamed my skin and the whole experience gave me a life long aversion to eye creams or serums. So, I’ve taken a big leap of faith because DoSe is owned by my friend Gill (full disclosure) and I trust her to the end of the earth, and I’ve tried it.
It takes most products months to show a physical improvement and this is no different but I can definitely give you my top line thoughts. The ingredients are a masterclass in an eye cream that will, over time, give tangible results: Vitamin C, Ergothioneine (marvellous ingredient), caffeine, Matrixyl 3000, Hyaluronic Acid, Purifed Peptides and Palmitoyle Tripeptide-5. I’m still a Vitamin C sceptic but even if that was removed entirely, we’d still be looking at something quite special.
You can use DoSe Vitamin C Eye Cream both morning and night but you’ll quickly find that your morning fix is the most rewarding. All the puffiness subsides (not straight away – give it a few minutes) and the coldness of the applicator is extremely reviving. Although the cream is light as air, I can actually feel it working on the morning puff, and I would encourage you to take your time massaging over with the applicator because that’s definitely a big part of the alchemy.
It’s pleasingly hydrating (which, to be honest, I really need at the moment – these winter dog walks are taking a toll on my moisture levels) and sits perfectly well under make up. The ingredients are active so if you are very sensitive to eye creams, double check the INCI but otherwise, if you swear by an eye cream, here’s a new one to give your love to. It’s I use quite a few DoSe products – in daily use is Digestive Enzyme Complex HERE and Turmeric Curcumin C3 Complex HERE, which have worked wonders on what I’ll euphemistically call my ‘nervous stomach’, and Ergothioneine Serum as an occasional booster in my skin care.
